Last Christmas I wasn't much in the Christmas spirit, and I'm afraid that I won't be much in it this year either. Can someone help me on how to be more Christmas-y? Because I really like Christmas, it's my favorite holiday.

People are loosing Christmas spirit because of all the stupid commercialism to it . Just try to think of your family and friends and being w/ them, having fun w/ them, enjoying each others company, its brings people together .

Well, I'm not really the family type person, but I'm visiting my gf and her family for the holidays and I love those pplz, guaranteed a good time And to get into the Xmas spirit, I bought myself a (artificial) Xmas tree, including lights and decorations ^_^ Was quite cheap for a tree over 6 foot high. Now I need to get my parents to buy me presents to put under them

I prefer real trees, the smell helps me feel more Christmassy

*Sprays pine sol* XP I have no problems with my christmas spirit. And two things help with the christmas spirit... If you have a beloved who has christmas spirit, that helps... but also, a lack of cynicism helps XP.

Real trees are okay. My artificial one is sort of 'foldable' though, so it's easier to carry it up two stairs into my bedroom. Next to that, a real one sheds needles *has carpet* so yea ...

We just put something underneath so that the needles don't go straight onto the carpet. Meh fake trees are good for some things, but yeah... Not the same for me.

In the living room we'll probably get a real tree later on (it's still mid November, after all). But yea, I just wanted a foldable fake tree that I could store away and use again next year ^_^;; Yes, I'm cheap.

LOL fair enough.
I'll be back home for this Chrimbo and my mum always likes getting a real tree as well so that's a cool thing. We'll probably get it a week before or something *shrug*

Yeah, being really busy I have barely had anytime for Christmas-y stuff. lol. We do have our tree up, artificial for the first time because a real one this year would have been a pain. Trying to get under the tree, poking yourself to death, trying to get it watered and picking up the pine needles before you step on them so we just got an artificial.
To help me get into the Christmas Spirit I usually just watch a Christmas Movie or just think about family. I am always happy to visit my family and friends. I hope I have a White Christmas. That is what makes my Christmas perfect. Waking up on Christmas Day and seeing snow on the ground.

Last night I drove home in the dark, and the radio played songs like All I Want For Christmas, Last Christmas and Driving Home For Christmas. I guess that really gets me in the mood.
