So. Do you work for a living? What do you do? Do you like it? Or do you hate, loathe, despise everything about it? LOL! I work in a payroll company, and it's just not for me. I'm not a technical minded person - I've often said, I'm a creative person stuck in an uncreative job, and it's "suffocating" me a bit... I shouldn't complain though. I only work 2-3 days a week, and the pay's pretty good, and my co-workers are nice enough. It's just the work itself that gets to me. That and feeling that I'm being pulled from pillar to post a lot of the time (ie. being used). So yeah... that's my little whinge for the time being

I do housekeeping for my husband's office and babysit occasionally. I also take comissions for obitsu dolls (what are obitsus? visit www.junkyspot.com to find out!) I'm also starting my own one-of-a-kind doll business that will be launched hopefully before October. As soon as I get a decent camera I'll post some of my work. My hubby works as a lead designer at a electrical engineering consulting agency. He makes ten dollars an hour and is the office manager! And he's only been there for almost a year and a half now. That's just how awesome he is <3

Thanks! I'll try to get some photos of mine soon so that everyone can see them <3
I mostly do the 27cm ones. The 60 cm ones are SOOOO Expensive (400 -600 dollars).

I work as a software developer at a small company called Delt ICT which is basically a 'support & outsourcing' center for a software package called Documentum (which is a CMS, written in Java). Currently I'm outsourced to a company where I man the technical helpdesk. I've been working there since Oct. 3 2005, so that's maybe 8 months so far? It makes a pretty good buck, working fulltime. I like the job because it's pretty specialistic and challenges me (the developing part that is). The colleagues are great guys and the boss is one kool dude I'm pretty content, for now, but I don't think I'll be working there for decades.

Hmmm interesting variety there so far. I've been in my job for over 2 years now... I think it's about time I found something I can relate to though I miss my old job at Hoyts That was pretty cool. I liked being on "floor" though, candy bar was crap! I burnt myself on the pop corn machine so many times

Lol, but popcorn is yummy! Where would the world be without popcorn? And since only a select few know how to make popcorn (the rest is too lazy to read the instructions) you guys are pretty valuable

LOL I suppose. I always loved the smell, hehehe... Floor was fun, though. I got to see the tail end of movies (not as bad as you might think ) and talk to people about them. Candy bar was bad... I got yelled at once Someone who said their drink wasn't cold, and meanwhile I was trying to serve a huge line of customers And yes - I said to the other workers "We should get some more ice, there's none left" And they said "Noooo". And yet there you go... I'm the one who gets yelled at

His drink wasn't cold? Intolerant bastards. I don't get it, it's not that hard to drink something when it's not as cold as you'd expect it to be (well, except for nitrogen, but I don't see anyone ordering that). I've worked for over 5 years as a restocker at a supermarket and I never had that kind of complaint before. I did piss off someone once when the supply truck (which I was unloading) was blocking an alley and he couldn't get out with his car ^_^;; Think I actually said something among the lines of 'screw you'.

LOL! Well... (I think it was a woman actually, but this was back in 98 ) It just upset me a bit at the time, especially because I was serving people at the time and just had to say "I can't do anything at the moment!" It was not the best experience, heh! But we all have to deal with crazy customers/clients at some point. There are a few of them at my current job, LOL! I don't speak with them though, thank god.

Lucky you But yea, we all get the not-so-great pplz to serve at some point. But I usually tell them to go to the director/manager/etc. if they really have a complaint. Most won't even go through the trouble and those who do, usually end up getting the same explanation you gave them

Heh so true... There are actually some clients that will only speak to the directors or my supervisor, LOL! I like that concept

Same here Boss I can deal with, customer I cannot (mainly because with a customer, you gotta stay friendly 'n all while the customer can get REALLY nasty).

Exactly! And "the customer is always right" Even when they're incredibly wrong, heh! Sometimes they do have to be told though, and that's why it's good to have one of the directors or supervisor do it. The client is more likely to listen to them and back off a bit than with one of the other workers.

Got that right. I never had a problem with any of my bosses before.
