Heh, Moonlight Densetsu is okay, just not after 4 sagas. I think they made an extremely good decision putting Makenai as the opening theme for Stars. Too bad the americans won't ever get to hear it (except for those lucky ones that purchase/download the sub). They have it up for download don't they. They have a whole bunch of songs around from Stars.

Did anyone notice that the Outer Senshi do NOT appear in any openings except S? Kinda sad eh?
Maybe...I'm serious, that's why S is so popular. I mean the SuperS had no Outers, Stars had very very limited Outers. But in S, the Outers played a huge part and maybe that's why it was popular. ^^

The one omiting them is before the Outers appeared, right? So that doesn't really count.
Nevertheless, the outers only are in the S opening(s)

I LOVED the Stars opening. Although you have to remember that when I first saw it, it had been FOUR YEARS since I'd seen a new Sailor Moon episode so I was pretty pumped and just seeing that song I kinda got the feeling almost that the Sailor Senshi were excited to see me back as well. I know that sounds kinda stupid but I really felt that for the first time in four years I was home. Since then ( Because of my amazing fiance Hawksgirl's amazing pocketbook and love of the series) I have since seen the entirty of the first season. After seeing the dubbed version of the song this just blew me away and even after the song had settled back into a quiet nich in my mind it still made me happy and the pictures that went along with it were astounding. Now Hawksgirl is buying the entire 2nd season which I've only seen four episodes of, It'll be here later this week and I'm TOTALY PSYKED!!! For the record, I don't have THAT great of a pocketbook. In fact, this series is part of the reason I'm becoming broke! LOL!

Not really. It was a comfort song for me, everytime I hear it I think of my childhood...*daydreams away*
Oh, but anyway, I was talking more in terms of video graphics. Which opening, graphically, was the best for you?
I loved the S opening: Reviewing it like a Music Video
1)You had the cool opening to the opening. The senshi standing on pillars and them all flying up (that was SO cool for me).
2)You had very very good representation of all the characters (in this order: Moon, Mercury&Mars, Jupiter&Venus, Uranus&Neptune, Pluto, Tuxedo Mask, and Doctor Tomoe&Hotaru.)
3)What amazed me was that they had time to represent the senshi again in ATTACKS. This was very cool for me because if you watch other openings, they don't usually attack...wait a second...no...they don't. Anyway, Sailor Moon twirling around the screen with the background attacking was just plain cool.
4)Then after representation, you have the theme: the Holy Grail. Super Sailor Moon makes the debut here.
5)I think the only little "filler" part was the little 5 seconds after this where Sailor Moon comes flying down with butterflies. They could have done something a bit more interesting. (Other openings have a HUGE amount of fillers).
6)In the end you see all the senshi, resolved, nice and everyone's happy. ^^
Compared to the other openings, the S openings (last one), is absolutely the best. This one has the least amount of fillers...which...if you were to think of it in terms of a music video, would be the stuff that makes you say "why was this added?"
*Just to have a few examples: in the first opening when Mercury, Mars, Moon are walking in the Moon Gardens...was filler. In the StarS opening where Sailor Moon is falling down. In SuperS when Chibi Moon is doing her Twinkle Yell, and when Pegasus and Chibi Moon are looking at each other. Fillers are just some things that a really random and even though they're nicely sync-ed they're random ^^
So, graphically, S has the best opening. Makenai is a good song by itself though.

Actually, there are two opening themes for SMS, one featuring the Outer Senshi, the other omitting them. Actually, there are 3 openings for SMS, though the first one were only used for the first two episodes. Ending poses for the three: The first one did not have Uranus or Neptune. I like Moonlight Densetsu the best, but the version used for SMC and SMR. I liked the vocals better and the overall melody seems more raw than SMS and SMSS. SMSTARS had a good song, but lacked on the graphics. SMR (2nd version)and SMS(3rd version) had the best graphics.

Does anybody agree with me on the "filler" thing I brought up? (I wanna know if I'm just insanely over-analytical or not). XD

It's basically the song that gets to me. I mean, I watch the opening the first time and then I just get bored with it. So while I listen to the opening theme, I just go 'n do somethin else, until the anime starts.
