Does anybody know what those...words...or symbols are when Mars does her Burning Mandala?
They don't look Japanese...nor do they look Chinese...
Just curious ^^

They look like Kanji to me ... heavy compound kanji, at that.

The problem is...I'm like 99% sure they aren't kanji. Kanji is Chinese rai? Those are definitely not Chinese...
But if they are...I don't know my own culture O.O (omg am I illiterate?!)

Nope, you're right, they're not Kanji. They look like ancient weird characters that may have been used long ago.

Ah, I know why this attack exists actually.
Sailor Mars/Rei is supposed to be spiritual or something. Mandalas are used for hope of great things to happen or something like that. We [my homeroom and I] have made our own mandalas and we learned about them at the beginning of the year. However, I can't remember everything about them. However, those "symbols" are probably just designs for the mandalas that circle Sailor Mars as she performs it.
Mandalas are decorated with a sort of pattern, so it's easy to guess that those symbols are just patterns/designs.

They stand for the eight corners of the earth - the North, the East, Northeast, the Southeast, the South, the Southwest, the West, and the Northwest.

I knew you were going to do that! ^^; Thanks for the correction. I don't really remember all that much, as it was at the beginning of the year and that was the only time we learned it.
