This is a fan-fic about Ron and Hermione. I hope you like it!

Reliving the Past
The earth shattered with a defining CRACK! as a spell split the air. As rocks tumbled down to the ground a scream echoed and a girl fell to the ground. She didn’t look down to her stomach where a burning pain was spreading, knowing that what was there wouldn’t be pretty. Smoke crept through the air, burning her eyes and thickening the air. Barely grasping on life, she grinned knowing that her side had won. With one last look at the starry night sky, she slipped into darkness.
I’m two years old and my father is taking me for a ride on the ponies. Glee lights up my face as I grasp the ponies mane. It’s coarse and thick beneath my chubby fingers. The ride is bumpy, and the air smells sweetly of cotton candy, sweat and manure. I giggle as the horses trot on. And then I slip into the darkness again.
Now I’m eight. My new friend and her family sit next to me on a rough green blanket that tickles my bare feet. The freshly cut grass smells and the night covers everyone gently. A light breeze blows across the ground as I stare into the sky. Awe fills me as exploding lights reflect in my wondering eyes. The fireworks boom and crackle as everyone leans back enjoying the night. But it ends too soon and I have darkness surround me once more.
Then it’s three years later. My parents are overjoyed when I receive a letter of acceptance to Hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardry. I happily go with them to purchase my books. Amazement covers me as I understand there is a whole world that I need to explore. The memory fades into darkness once more.
Then I’m helping recover the sorcerer’s stone. My wits save us, but the danger doesn't feel real.
Working on the chamber of secrets. Again I'm not there when the true danger happens, and my memories are dim.
Dementors take over the wizarding world, and I meet Sirius. Danger faces me now but I escape narrowly with the help of my friends.
The Triwizard competition and the goblet of fire. Voldemort. Again I'm brushed with fear but I wait in the stands while a battle takes place somewhere else. My life speeds by.
I’m sixteen again, not so long ago. As I grow up I realize I’m in love. I reveal my true feelings and nervousness turns to joy when he takes me in his arms. I wrap my arms around his neck and breath in faint traces of cologne. He gently lifts my head and kisses me softly, my first kiss. Breathless, I lay my head on his chest and wonder if life can get better. But darkness comes again.
It’s the end of my 7th year. Voldemort has been getting stronger, but so have we. Danger is real now but I want to face it. I want to stop the pain and suffering of other people. The night before the end of the year feast is the time, and everyone gathers to end the war. People fall, are left behind, or need to do something else. In the end the three of us are facing Voldemort, but it‘s starting to look bad. The true battle starts and everyone is wounded, even the enemy. Harry is cornered by Voldemort, it looks like he has won. I grab my fallen wand painfully and advance quietly. Everything goes so quickly, but I know what I have to do. I cast my last spell and fall to the ground, giving him enough time to destroy the last of Voldemort’s evil. Harry lives. The world is safe now, but I have made the sacrifice. Time is running out. My memories fade away.
And then my eyes flutter open. Bright lights make my eyes squint, everything smells like medicine. I no longer hurt, but I cannot feel anything lower then my arms either. Blood soaked bandages surround my middle and I know it’s no use. I smile at the friends and family around me, amused at their glum faces. Ron is holding my hand, his face tear streaked. “Don’t be sad,” I say, but my voice is only a whisper. “I’ll always be here,” I try to convince them. My last words come out slowly, but I have to say it. “I love you Ron,” he leans over and kisses me long and soft as I slip away from life. Darkness closes in for the last time and I hear “No! Hermione....”
