Has anyone ever heard of Westboro Baptist Church? It's run by Fred Phelps. This church is responsible for picketting funerals for dead soldiers, because they believe that they are in hell for protecting a nation that God hates. They also like to picket funerals for homosexuals, and they are currently picketting funerals for those who died in the bridge collapse that happened recently. Here is a video of one of the members of the church being interviewed by Fox news. See for yourself- youtube.com/watch?v=b3PyoUPcobA

Heh, can't they label/arrest the whole WBC as a terrorist organization or something? I wonder if you guys should really shut down Guantanamo Bay while pplz like Phelps still walk around.

If they did that, than Fred would bitch on about how they deny him his freedom of speech. He always does that. One time, he wanted to put up a monument on the church grounds about Matthew Shepard, stating that he was in hell for defying the Bible's laws about homosexuality. He said that he was willing to go to court if the state wouldn't let him do that.
It's funny, because if it weren't for those soldiers in Iraq, he probably wouldn't have any freedom of speech.

Meh, I don't know what the consequences of not going to war in Iraq would have been, but I'm pretty sure freedom of speech would still be there. It's a constitutional right IIRC. Freedom of speech is one thing though, the flipside holds responsibility of speech. Doesn't the bible state that only God can judge others or something? Wouldn't they technically bear false witness and such by claiming all the things they do?

Apparently, they just ignore everything God says about loving one another and forgiveness. They believe that they are ''doing God's work'', and they are so self-righteous that it is pretty much impossible to convince them otherwise.
