I'm a loner by nature so I would mind being alone guarding the gate of time. Think about it. Besides anyone who may want to invade the gates, you have no conflict to deal with and troubles to worry about. Life would be almost care free.
Most people will probably disagree with me but I think Setsuna has it good.

Judging by the sign of Scorpio, which is what Sailor Pluto is... well it would not make sense that way. Scorpio's enjoy attention, and affection. I don't think Sailor Pluto has it good. She might be lonely out there, but I don't think she actually likes it. But it is her duty, and so she has to do what she has to do.

Well, you may say that now, but after a few hundred years of just sittin there at the gates, with no contact whatsoever, you'll start to regret your choice/destiny, believe me. It's easy to get bored in a place like that.

It's easy to get bored in a place like that. IS it? Time flow is different there than it is here, it doesn't. So you might be standing around doing nothing for 800, 900 some odd years. Or since time doesn't flow the same events could happen when you wanted them to. Plus we don't know for sure if she can see out into the regular time flow or not. If she can she can probably watch who she wanted when she wanted. Go back and watch a movie at its opening, or important events in history, or watch people you care about. I think that's the part that would be harder, to just be an observer and not allowed to interact with the outside world. But of course we don't know what it's like there.

Well, I think that each second of the normal time flow would take ages to pass at the gate of time. Why? Because a lot happens in the timeframe of one second. Pluto knows a whole lot about the past, the present and the future, more than anyone else (of course, she's seen it). But let's think about that for a second. If she knows all of this, wouldn't she be able to see this all? And if she were able to see all that she knows, than naturally, the next step would be to consider just how much she sees that she doesn't know (i.e. the things she sees but chooses not to remember because of their unimportance). I think she sees everything, at any point in time. She sees what happens in Tokyo and in New York. At exactly the same point in time. She has to, because she is able to travel back and forth in time, rendering her able to be in two places at the same time, or more.

Personally I would be ok with a computer, bed, food, water, clothes, and a shower. But that's just me.
Seriously though, if Pluto was just standing there for...ever...XD it would get boring. But who says she stands there? Maybe (total speculation) she's like this person that awakens once people come near the door. Like, when no one's there...she's asleep or something and when someone's there she can awake. Lol. Maybe she's like a statue that revives itself once people come near the door of time.
Or not. Who knows. Pluto seems a loner by nature, still, it would be pretty bad.

she probably meditates to kill time, and see the world, or just absorb knowledge, and pops awake at the first sign of anothers presence. the whole meditate and awaken cycle of a samurai in popular culture. like Haomaru in the SNES intro of Samurai showdown.*shrugs* but overall, I think she does get very lonely, I mean, you would be too if you had to watch your whole life go by as you stood guard over the gates of time, so I kinda feel sorry for her, I cant help but feel that she needs a companion. thanks for the zodiac info mercury.

In the mangas, Small Lady says that she always looks a little sad and she only smiled for her. So I don't think she enjoys it. Setsuna also said that she always wanted to fight side-by-side with Sailor Moon. So, I think she is lonely but she will always be there to do her job and do it well! ;D

true, and we do see Pluto and Moon fighting side by side in Stars, eventhough their first opponents together were polite enough to introduce themselves... oi... always remember, if your opponent acts kind to you, they can afford too, only a truely nefarious villan would act kind toward their foes, and then KILL them, in a truely treacherous manner of lies, deceit, and overall good manners, and thats the best way you can tell your foe is truely powerful... it was funny though when Aluminum siren handed moon her buisiness card, and the look on moons face was like 'uh... whaaaa?' oi, priceless with the dot eyes. *laughing*

Omg! I LOVED Aluminum Siren...she was...omg she was SO cool. XD
Anyway, Pluto=lonely loner: doesn't usually mind it but probably sometimes it gets to her.
I guess, I would like to be Pluto maybe for...like a year. XD See how it turns out...

This is rather true, as I cannot stand going without attention or affection without gettin twitchy. however, I've never gotten lonely, no matter how far I've distanced myelf from humanity.Honestly, It's not that hard to just live without other humans around. I've been doing it for..oh, i'd say 3 or 4 years now, and I'm kinda ok. I think since Setsuna has a friend It makes more difficult to not get lonesome. now, If she had not met anyone and had been keep away from humanity, I think she wouldn't be as lonely as she is in the show. But's thats just my personally opinion.

Is there anyone else who would not mind being the guardian of time, Sailor Pluto?

Actually, it would be neat to be any senshi. But just imagine how much you would have to do. Saving the world isn't as easy as looks

I'd like it for awhile, then I'd get bored and start shooting random things floating through space with my Garnet Scepter. Probably sleep just to kill time. I don't think I'd be too lonely. I am not much of a people person. I could live with my computer, music, and maybe some peanut butter. Mmmm peanut butter ;D
