I, like many others on this board are here for Sailor Moon, and all other related essentials, when really all we talk about in these boards is how annoying her voice was or what your favourite attack is. Not cool; not really intended.
My challenge is for people to write a small paragraph (good and detailed not "I like her because...") telling me why you like Sailor Moon (character/show). Who knows, you may be awarded kudos and other cool things, so put your thinking caps on and get cracking.

It's hard to not like Usagi. Sure, she's a bit of a ditz, but what I like most about her, is the fact that she's got a big heart, and cares deeply for her friends and family, as well as the world around her. I also like how she is trusting towards others, and she can also be a pretty entertaining character too! If it weren't for Usagi, the Anime + Manga series, probably wouldn't have existed at all!

It's true that a lot of superheroes aren't perfect (usually they are the complete opposite), but Usagi seemed like such a believable character. Some superheroes may be total geeks (no offence), but Usagi is the first superhero that I felt that I could really identify with. Her life doesn't totally suck before she becomes a hero. In fact, she comes from a good, stable family, she's got lots of friends and she seems happy. Granted she's a ditz, but I feel that in some ways she fights the common stereotype of what a hero is like whilst they are a citizen. She's not like Peter Parker or anything, but she's someone that I feel is quite similar to me. I love watching the first season of Sailor Moon and comparing it to the last. She's been through so much and it's amazing to see that she's matured, but remained somewhat the same by StarS. I admire the fact that she's been disappointed so many times, but she's still so forgiving to those who have wronged her. Sometimes characters can be so mean to her (Haruka, the Starlights, etc), but she manages to prove them wrong, and when she does, she doesn't gloat. She is such a forgiving character. I was moved to tears when she didn't fight Nehelenia in StarS, but she was so honest with her feelings and forgave her straight away--same with the fight against Galaxia. She's been told to change or start being more mature by so many people, but she knew deep down that being yourself is the most important thing.
I totally love Usagi for being such an inspiration and for being someone I believe exists.

Finally! A chance to say this was worth the wait!
Okay. I've noticed that a lot of people in the world that haven't even TRIED to like Sailor Moon because of her odangos. I've heard insults to me saying I'm gay because I like a show such as Sailor Moon. What they can't get through their thick heads is that they should try to actually understand what something's about before they judge it. Sure, it was originally for females, but males still grew to like it - even straight males! They should get over the fact that it is NOT a girls only show. It is for both genders now.
Anyway, I like Sailor Moon, the show, because it is very educating, however you look at it. It basically has the normal life of a teenager and (later when Chibi-Usa comes) the life of a curious child. It expresses problems a teenager may have and helps for that teenager to understand the true meaning of love, friendship, and even hate. Suspense isn't the only thing that keeps me coming back for more to watch Sailor Moon. I'm also interested in the characters. Just asking what will they do next won't give you a straight answer. Sometimes, you need to think for yourself.
Sailor Moon teaches people to follow your dreams. It also encourages you to be nice and sympathetic to people - even if they are just plain rotten to you. I do it all the time. I do try to avoid the people I don't like, but I still would say something nice to them.
Liking Sailor Moon, the character, will take some time if you've judged by the odangos. You will soon learn that she is just like you - a teenager who wants attention at times, looking for a boyfriend/girlfriend (for those who are males), struggles in school, and has a ton of friends! Anyone can relate to Usagi/Sailor Moon whether you like it or not. She may be a clutzy crybaby, but she's got the purest heart you could think of and the brightest starseed in the universe! Sailor-Moon-dissers would be surprised at how far Usagi sticks her neck out for anyone!

Usagi-chan was always my favorite character and always will be. I like the way that she is very clumsy and a big ditz. She's probally the reason the show is such a success! What I REALLY like about her though is that she actually has two personalities. One side is her ditzy side, and the other side is her loyal and brave side. During every battle with the master enemy, she has alot of strength and determination in her. Just watch the show. Have you've ever seen ONE time where she was ditzy during the last battle of every season? Usagi-chan is a very lovable character and she was the glue that kept the show together.

Well now I feel like to say what I think about Sailor Moon and why I like her:
When I first saw the series I liked it very much because it was something different from other shows like Dragon Ball.... But slowly I began to like the story and to think about each character personality (I always thought I was a lot like Ami (sailor mercury)). Now like a year ago when I saw the entire series again I started to think about the things it teaches you, like to be always kind to other people even if they dislike you or are mean to you. To not lose hope, because that's the last thing you can lose. Even a lot of religious related things..... Mostly the Stars season changed a lot of my way to see the world and everyone, the way I think and my personality.
I like sailor moon because she brights, she radiates happiness and kindness. Her personality sure is one I like the most.

Usagi Tsukino--the stereotypical superhero with a twist. She has a well thought-out character background and history--one with meeting her daughter as a teenager, and like all superheroes, leading a double life. In an instant, ditzy, lovable Usagi is the champion of justice, Sailor Moon. Her extreme moral and determination is enough to pull herself and the rest of her team along. She's the missing link to nearly every situation, and possesses more power than the rest of the senshi. She doesn't let this go to her ego, and manages to satisfy to perfection.
o.o; I tried. XD

Who knows, you may be awarded kudos and other cool things, so put your thinking caps on and get cracking. Well, I probably won't be any good at this. But oh well! That's ok. n.n; Now let's get started... Usagi. She wanted to have a normal life. But she didn't get that. She was secretly the heroine of love and justice, Sailor Moon! Her job to protect the earth interrupted right in the middle of anything she was doing, such as: school, seeing a play, at a concert ect. She really didn't want this. Like I said before, she wanted to be a normal girl who wanted to fall in love and not go to school. Everyone says they hate her because she is a clutz. I think that is criticizing. I consider her one of my role models. (besides Michiru, of course) I think she has a wonderful and beautiful dream, to fall in love and become a bride. No wonder so many people like her. Her loved ones had been in the enemies hands numerous times, and she risks her life to save them. She is brave and courageous, what a powerful quality. Usagi also never gives up (well, not counting school or grades. Lol.). She tries her hardest to win without killing anyone (Best examples: end of the S season and StarS season). And she succeeds somehow. She is kind-hearted and listens to everyone, even though she can be stubborn at times. One of Usagi's best qualities is her cheerful-ness. She always finds a way to cheer someone up. In all, even though Usagi is clumsy and a clutz, she is kind and courageous deep down. Ta da! ^^; There ya go! ..[michiru]

In my opinion Sailor Moon is the best senshi. She has a really funny personality. Sailor Moon is loyal to her friends. She is alot like me. I have to admit i am a crybaby too sometimes. Sailor Moon is the best show ever to be canceled in the USA. It was filled with humour, drama, and romance. Although it has left and will probably never come back in the U.S.A. I have memories of the funny, entertaining show.

I relate to Usagi, she gives me courage and inspiration in my own life and I think thats why I keep coming back to the show whenever stuff starts to get hard. I like her because she cares so much about people, she is loving and innocent and imperfect. She has a lot of weaknesses and troubles to deal with but she always tackles her problems with lots of enthusisam and gives things her all even when she doesn't know how she isgoing to pull out a victory. She is so full of potential too. You can see the princess in her even when she is behaving like the averagest of girls.

I won't rant about why I like Sailor Moon because i'm too lazy to write it all out.
It's true Usagi gets bashed all the time, it's because well she's the main character and alot of times people (like me for example) are not too keen on main characters because the supporting characters are more interesting and mysterious.
I however do admire Usagi's devotion to what she believes in. She IS the glue that keeps together all the other senshi. And without a Sailor Moon we wouldn't have a show!!
Her history is also veerry interesting to me...

I am finding while watching the different series Hawk1 & I own that I am a LOT like Usagi. The whole being with the person I'm destined to spend the rest of my life with, being a big crybaby over little things, not studying...Now I'm trying to figure out how to make my hair into her odangos (anyone got any ideas? Just PM me).
When I started dating Hawk1, I thought the series really was just aimed at young girls, but I've come to realize that the series really is for us teens. Had I started watching the show sooner, I wouldn't be able to relate to Usagi until Senior year of high school or now! She really does represent the stereotypical teenage girl (for the most part). Thank you Usagi for allowing us to have someone to relate to.
