I honestly do not see the problem. Do you not trust people? If they're going to lie, they're going to lie and you can't really do anything about it, can you? They could have lied and said they were thirteen to join the board. There is no possible way of knowing. As well, I think people would be responsible enough to know whether they can buy and trade stuff, no? If not, then it's no one's fault but their own... especially if you put a disclaimer and they disregard it. Anyways, if you're reconsidering making a board... just... don't. *sigh* I've been arguing way too much today over such ridiculous things, that at this moment, if it's going to be too much of a hassle, just don't waste your time. I'll take my stuff elsewhere. It was just an idea, so it doesn't have to get off the ground. As long as I can make a post somewhere... if people are interesting in buying manga or comics or DVD's... or CD's, whatever, then I'm fine. I don't think a whole board has to be made, no? Now, which forum to post in... merchandise or something? (*note, not trying to sound like a b*tch or whatever, or snotty, or rude, I just don't want to create more work for people. Honestly.) Neo Queen Serenity, it's not that at all. You missunderstand. It's not that the work is too hard for us, or that we are reconsidering the idea of making the section. We are simply trying to talk through all of the potential problems that could arise through this sort of idea. I'm sorry that we might be moving a little to slowly for you but I beg you to bare with us. Your post will come to life, we just need to hammer out the spicifics first is all. On that note, Sailor Mercury, is there really anything left we need to discuss? Just put a massive disclaimer on it and then you just have to trust the people. For the most part Sailor Moon fans are some of the best people around, give them a chance. ;D

I just don't want any lashback, that's all. So whatever the people who want to trade/buy/sell do, it's up to their own discretion (hence the IMs and Emails) - I don't want to be blamed for any mishaps, seeing as what goes on won't be my fault.
On another note, I asked a friend her opinion, and she said I should create a whole section (category) for it with 2 boards, one for sellers to post what they want to sell, and one for buyers to post what they are looking for...
Does this sound like a decent idea?
I'll just make it open to everyone, rather than just 18+, with the disclaimer that it's not up to me, it's up to the members to deal with this in a responsible manner. If anything goes wrong, it's not my problem, therefore no one will flame me for anything...
And if anything goes wrong, which I hope it doesn't, but if it does, the boards will be taken down immediately... does this sound fair enough?

Direct sales between members ( i.e: not through EBay or Paypal - but through personal correspondence ) are between the parties at hand. Sailor Mercury Online and its owner or the hosts of SMO forums, will NOT be held responsible for any problems that may occur between the two involved parties.... As such we suggest that you accept your payments through Paypal or other secure transaction.
(can you provide the victim the ip address of the seller so that they can pursue their own legal action?)

You stated beforehand about making me a Mod or something for this forum? I wouldn't even bother now. I am not making any long-term committments here or at SMO RPG. I just got another job and I will be leaving in less than six months for a year's worth of traveling and volunteer work, so you'd have to find someone else anyways.

Oh I see... maybe we should just leave the idea alone then, if that's the case... you seem to be the only one who's shown any interest in selling or trading anyway...

Please don't post with only one word in it. That's called 'spam' or 'fluff posting'. I would issue you a warning, but since you're new I'll let it slide.
