It was in the Silver Millennium Heheh, I know she was the mother of Princess Serenity, that she lived on the moon, and that she sacrificed herself to send the Senshi to the future to be reborn, but that's really all.

Did Queen Serenity had a husband in the past? Or other kids rather than Princess Serenity(Serena)?

^^Well, Queen Serenity would have had to have a husband or a boyfriend, or Princess Serenity wouldn't have been born.

Since there's no mention of Serenity's husband, it's a common fanon theory that Princess Serenity was created by magic/with the Silver Crystal. There is really no explanation for how she came to be ^^; But since Serenity is a goddess, maybe she can just create a daughter for herself. However, Diana does say in Stars "from generation to generation, only one child is born to the queen" which would imply that Princess Serenity is Queen Serenity's only kid.

But since Serenity is a goddess, maybe she can just create a daughter for herself. In Greek mythology, yes. But not in the Sailor Moon series. Otherwise that would imply that Usagi is a goddess as well and wouldn't require Endymion to conceive Chibi-Usa.

Just cause she doesn't require his help doesn't mean she wouldn't want it. >3
I don't know... Serenity says she's the incarnation of Selene, but why couldn't she have created a human daughter for herself? Or even if the original Princess Serenity was a goddess, her reincarnation is the daughter of humans. I'm kind of fond of the theory myself :3 The silver crystal is the great deus ex machina of the series. It raises the dead, it heals possessed people, it diverts falling asteroids, it revives long-dead civilizations, it turns cats into humans... why not parthenogenesis?

There's one fundamental difference between the examples you mentioned and pathenogenesis We're talking about taking something that exists/existed, and change it's status. We're talking about reviving, healing, changing, not creating. I don't seem to remember any one moment in all of the series where the Ginzuishou creates something.

From what I remember of high school biology, humans "hatch" inside their mother about four days after conception. (They have to so the baby can implant properly, otherwise it dies. Or something.)

From what I remember of high school biology, humans "hatch" inside their mother about four days after conception. (They have to so the baby can implant properly, otherwise it dies. Or something.) In fact, without implanting properly, the 'egg' provides far from enough nutrients and other primary necessities for the baby to grow into what it should be upon birth. Other animals, who do lay eggs, have managed to evolve their eggs into providing all this and allowing their offspring to develop enough to be able to survive upon hatching without needing the direct protection a non-egg-laying mother provides. This also takes away a large portion of the energy consumption for the mother, but this energy results in a smaller and more vulnerable baby.
