Okay, I've been reading too many fanfictions, and watching too little SM episodes. I'd like to ask anyone who knows if Jenni is an original character or not. I've seen it in too many fanfics so far, but not yet in the series. To those who don't know who Jenni is: the girl Makoto had a relation with after she got dumped by her old sempai.
Thanks in advance.

First of all, I don't know what you're talking about. Second of all, Makoto isn't a lesbian. I would say Jenni isn't an original character.

Pretty much what Pinkgirl said. . . There is no Jenni in Sailor Moon canon.

Just thought I'd ask. Anywayz, Pinkgirl, it's been discussed before, and there was no undeniable proof that Mako-chan is pure straight.

and there was no undeniable proof that Mako-chan is pure straight. You mean other than never chasing after anyone she knows is female, and only going after guys? I think your'e starting to genuinely beleive the fanfics you've been reading. . .

Yes, It's become an addiction. Gomen ... I hereby discard the idea of Kino Makoto ever being involved in a relationship other than the one she was in with her old sempai. *lays down, closes eyes and goes back to dreamworld with Ami 'n Mako*

After all there was this one message from naoko takeuchi where she said that she liked the fanfiction and even she enjoyed reading them.

You know, there is some scant evidence of Makoto being bisexual. She did look rather dreamy-eyed at Haruka in that episode where Haruka gives her her scarf. She never looked that way at Ami though. Sorry, Zyppora. But dream on anyway.

There's nothing wrong with indulging in it, just so long as you can remember its not real. Then again, none of this is "real" per se. Kino Makoto isn't exactly a real person anyway. You know, there is some scant evidence of Makoto being bisexual. She did look rather dreamy-eyed at Haruka in that episode where Haruka gives her her scarf. She never looked that way at Ami though. Sorry, Zyppora. But dream on anyway. But lots of girls who don't otherwise display lesbian tendencies crush on Haruka. Haruka is just too awesome. Plus she kind of looks like a guy... In the manga there is one teeny tiny image of a nameless girl who Makoto says used to be a good friend of hers at her old school. (She talks about her in the act when she gets kidnapped by the Black Moon.) Maybe that's where "Jenni" came from. Slightly off-topic, was Makoto actually in a relationship with her sempai? I was under the impression that it was a one-sided crush. Come to think of it, did it ever say that her sempai was a boy? It is a genderless term, after all. (On the other hand, in the manga a shady outline of sempai is shown and it appears to be a guy, and IIRC Makoto usually says that guys remind her of her sempai.)

You beat me to this one ... I just glanced over Cresh's post and was like ... wait a min ... none of it is real ... You know, there is some scant evidence of Makoto being bisexual. She did look rather dreamy-eyed at Haruka in that episode where Haruka gives her her scarf. She never looked that way at Ami though. Sorry, Zyppora. But dream on anyway. (She talks about her in the act when she gets kidnapped by the Black Moon.) Maybe that's where "Jenni" came from. I seem to remember somethin from the SuperS series where she's protecting a girl she hasn't seen in ages ... Slightly off-topic, was Makoto actually in a relationship with her sempai? I was under the impression that it was a one-sided crush. Come to think of it, did it ever say that her sempai was a boy? It is a genderless term, after all. (On the other hand, in the manga a shady outline of sempai is shown and it appears to be a guy, and IIRC Makoto usually says that guys remind her of her sempai.) I think the fact that she says it about boys only would be the giveaway on the sempai's gender. If you saw a silhouette of Haruka you'd consider her a male, so shady outlines don't really give much away in that aspect. Besides that, I think the fact that she keeps saying ' old sempai' means that they have probably been in a relationship. Then again, that's from the sub ... is that a correct translation of what she's really saying?

I thought he was her "old" sempai because she transferred out of that school, or perhaps because he graduated. I guess it could be read either way though. I never thought of it that way before.
