I like Teen Titans, because it's so stupid, it's funny, LOL..
Yeah it's a bit of an "Anime Wannabe", but whatever, the characters are still cool (yay Raven!) so no matter what style, it's still enjoyable to me...

Weird... I'm having a similiar discussion about PPG Z on my PPG's board. I found a link with the page translated in English that talks about the show - www.toonygal.com/ppg/. I'm really hoping that this is a rumor because although it does look pretty cool I don't think I'll be able to get used to the new style characters. The girls in the Anime version aren't even supposed to be sisters according to what the page translation says. I thought it was a cool idea at first but now I'm not so sure Oh well, if it ever becomes available for Bittorrent downloads I'll get it because I love the PPG's

okay, Teen Titans is pretty good, it's just using some anime touches like sweatdrops, chibis, and veins. it's using too many comedic features to be taken seriously, but it still is taken seriously because the badguys are truely evil, and classic DC heroes are in there, such as Robin and Cyborg. I never even heard of the other 3 until the series came up.
this new PPG series seems to have promise, it's ripping up some of the original cartoons origin, and applying a whole new story in itself. no more secrets this time, and we dont have to wait until the series if half gone to hear the origin! I hate that about cartoons!! they start right in the middle and dont explain the whole story from the start!! this is why I liked the new versions of He-Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! the story was told from the intended point, the begining! it's real dumb to release a show right in the middle of the characters story, and then suddenly release a movie explaining the begining, just so you could remix it another time! I rewrite my story to make it seem interesting, I will have to put my story on a website.
in other words, the PPG anime seems to have promise, though they're now open to certain things, they're still the same heroic threesome(oops!) of girls they've always been.

I do like Raven btw...she' SO cool...but then there's her/Beast Boy which I just find stupid. There's some misconception in society that love is an essential part of living...not true. So when they started suggesting the Beast Boy/Raven thing it just got turned off for me.
Back to PowerPuff Girls Z, omg this is just too cute (looking at the screencaps) ^_^! This is soo a rip off of Sailor Moon but...XD...omg it gives me that warm fuzzy feeling inside. The only thing that sorta kills it for me is that they actually NAMED it PowerPuff Girls Z. If they just named it something else (and made it less Powerpuffy) I would actually like this a lot. But it looks decent XD

it may be ripping on SM, but it isnt paralell to SM in every way possible. transformations, weaponry, cute girls going around fighting evil. PPG is more sci-fi than fantasy, as any RPG club participant would recognise Sci-fi from Fantasy.
for those who dont understand, I'll clarify.
Sci-fi: space-age-like tech, aliens, and oddities like awesome space ships make up the majority of this experience.
Fantasy: magic, elemental power, extra character growth, and friends conquering over all enemies even in the hardest of times(and a handy prophecy helps) makes up the majority of this experience.
it's rare to find a perfect blend of the two experiences. but I like both anyways. ^_^

This is soo a rip off of Sailor Moon I fail to see any correlation between the two outside of similar genres. . . Both are Mahou Shoujou Sentai, but other than that I don't see it.

I like Teen Titans, because it's so stupid, it's funny, LOL.. Heh....I watched it about 2 times. It was okay at first then it got kinda stupid. They act so stupid. In a commercial you'd think it is good or something. Back on topic: I don't see any similarity besides the way they look. I mean anime always looks like that.

Is it not? Oh well =p
Still, it looks very interesting (how many times have I said that...?)
Bubbles looks very cute. (And she's holding that...octopus toy!)
They could totally have made the professor either hotter or cuter...becuz he's like wavering in the middle and that's just weird.

hmmm... I think the audience wanted to pull attention away from the other characters, centering it around primaries such as the girls, and the chimp.

this is why I liked the new versions of He-Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Oooh no no... LOL! I loved the old ones because I grew up with them, just like the 80's version of Astro Boy... I'm so adverse to the new versions because of that... I actually did give the new Astro a chance too, before you start on me about that, and I couldn't stand it because it was just not the same, so... old 'skool' all the way for me, heh Oh. Yuck. Raven should remain single, she's not a 'relationship' person as far as I'm concerned, LOL... At least not with Beast Boy, yeesh...

Off topic:
Raven IS cool (yes I've seen Teen Titans despite its horrible wanna-be japanese anime opening theme). She was like "whoa...I wanna be like her". Her powers are so hot omg, I want them. But then...the show...wants to pair her up with Beast Boy...and that's weird. It doesn't fit Raven's personality at all. CAN'T Cartoon Network people just understand that not everyone needs a lover to be socially acceptable and that some people are just natural loners?!!
(ok ranting done)
On Topic:
They have a transformation scene...? XD I bet like $10 this is so marketed to show in both Japan and America at the same time....these kinds of shows (like teen titans) are just to attract those Japanese-wannabe people (Get over it, you're never gonna be Japanese).
I'm sorry, I'm feeling overly-rantive today ^^

I wouldn't even pair her with Robin (he's meant to be with Starfire anyway, right?) and... well I dunno about the Cyborg thing, heh... I finally saw the episode where Aqualad was introduced, and the fact she had the little hearts in her eyes over him annoyed me, LOL... Raven's a... "Yeah, whatever," kind of person... Oh well Heh tis ok... I have very mixed feelings about this PPG Anime... I sort of find it interesting but at the same time I just don't like how different it is... But then it's meant to be, you know? But that's what I couldn't stand about the new versions of other shows I used to love growing up... they're too different, and they change so many things... It's not the same and just doesn't feel right...

I know how ya feel, so many changes to an old show on the visual upgrade, you barely recognise it. but of course, the visual upgrade is to dispell rumors from the original version, like with the old He-Man discussion, some assumed He-Man was "gay", so the creators decides to upgrade the look after 20 years as there was a big discussion over it over several forums(especially on REMv6 on the visual upgrade topic). after the visual upgrade and certain added ammounts of inuendo, He-Man being assumed "gay" was dispelled for the most part, now there's a discussion over new school being anti-gay, and old school being full blown gay.
the PPG anime has a visual upgrade(though not nearly as hich as TMNT or He-Man), and with that upgrade comes controversy, I myself was sceptical about both He-Man and the ninja turtles, but the new look dispelled lots of ugly rumors, and reminded me how cool the old days were. it's been so long since kids got the chance to grow up with the Ninja Turtles.
back on topic! the PG anime looks good, and in one of the clips, I heard Mojo say "kuso" which if I know my Japanese correctly, it means he said "shit", so the audience must be directed to either all audiences, or to teenagers(seeing as how Teens are moreso capable of buying PPG merchendise than tweens and kids). such was the course with DBZ, the audience was intended to be teenaged rather than young children. I'm taking a few guesses, and maybe a hypothesis. *shrugs*
