There's been a few Sailor Moon video games. Heck, the first time I ever heard about Sailor Moon was when I saw screenshots of a japanese-only Sailor Moon video game for the Sega Mega Drive (known over here in North America as the Genesis). Heck I even own a Sailor Moon game! It's one of the ones for the Super Famicom. It's a traditional beat 'em up in the vein of Final Fight, Captain Commando, Streets of Rage or one of those games, and it's not bad. I'd love to own the Mega Drive one too though one of these days, and if I ever get that damn CD attachment for my Turbo Grafx 16, I'd like to check out one of the PC Engine Super CD-ROM SM games (I mean the platformer one, not the digital novel or whatever), and I'd also love to check out the one for Sega Saturn. Would've been cool if they also made an SM game for the Sega (Mega) CD that was like Dragon's Lair or Space Ace where you could play through some classic episodes of the 1st season with the kind of gameplay I just mentioned. Kinda like that weird Kamen Rider Zo game for the Sega CD, which was a DL/SA-like gameplay version of a movie that wasn't even released in theaters or on video in The States. Only difference is that the dialogue for the game in the US version was dubbed (poorly) into english, so you felt like you were watching a lame kung-fu movie. Ironically enough however, the Kamen Rider franchise is also owned by Toei, who also owns SM.
Anyway, back on topic:And there's also this GREAT arcade game by Banpresto. I don't know if it ever got an official US release, but I played the game in MAME a few times, and there's a dip switch to set the game to USA, and it even shows a disclaimer about how the game can only be played in the USA during the attract mode when you set it to that if I remember correctly.
