Anyone can join in as long as no god-modding happens, IE you don't kill my character, I don't kill yours... Also, no one can play the sailor scouts themselves as they are important to my story so use your own characters, thank you...
It was late, and I walked past the Cathedral as they rang their bells for Midnight mass...
"Midnight..." I thought... "She loved midnight mass..."
I of course thought of my late sister Aria... whom had since passed at the age of nine due to hypothermia, eight years after their parents had died from starvation...
"She had only just been born when they died..."
I thought... as I clutched a rosary hung from my neck she had bought for me with money she had earned through hard labor...
My stomach rumbled in rage from neglect, and since no one had food to give for free... I would have to resort to my craft... thieving... and I was on his way to the place where my craft had become well renowned, and feared... "I, Kabal, don't steal from the lower or middle class..." I thought to myself... "that is what seperates me as a thief and not a cut-purse, nay, I only steal from the upper class, that is to say, the fat cats who got fat, and did nothing to contribute to society, and would take what little the lower class had, and wouldn't allow them to earn it back..." I passed by a window, and saw a woman and man holding a child... smiling and laughing as they held it in loving embrace...
"But not all upper class were aristocrats, some worked hard to give their chidren bright futures, and earned every bit of wealth they had... they too were safe from my craft...I will not steal their futures nor their dreams... even if it means my starvation..."
"But that didn't mean there weren't any evils in the upper class at all..."
I have reached my destination... A mansion with many prized pieces of art, all paintings, all stolen from their creators, this would be vengeance for their creators...
and a mercy for his quaking stomach...
I pulled my hood so that my face was covered in shadow, and placed my clawed gauntlets over my hands....
I had scouted this manor... and noted the brick wall... this would make entry easy... I had also heard rumor that the owner of this residence was deathly terrified of hound of all kind... so the "Beware of dog!" signs were rendered useless....
Upon climbing the wall I noted many points of entry...
I looked at my checklist and reminded my self that there were three pieces of art to be found here... the haul from this manor could feed me for quite a while indeed...
"Lord Aliester... was a very well to do man indeed, he had enough wealth to own this manor... and several others... I would be sure to pocket any other wealth I could find..."
I entered through the basement, and found myself staring at the back of a guard... "Heh..." I said...
I pulled my club, and slapped the base of his neck with a quick hit... knocking him unconscious... and hid him in the closet, but not before taking the contents of his pockets...
"Nighty night...Francis..." I chuckled, before pocketing them...
I looked around and found myself in a wine cellar, and perused the selection... I found four bottles, two very valuable, and two very tasty, and wrapped them up to reduce the noise and chance of them breaking...
As I left the cellar I saw another guard looking at one of the pieces... a picture of one of the queens of the kingdom, the one of Jupiter I think...
he whistled at it... I raised my club to the back of his neck and punished his insolence with a satisfying smash...
and hid him in another closet in the wine cellar, and raided the contents of his pockets as well... he had a gold watch... "Your watch is fake, Joshua..." I said smugly as I shut the door to the closet...
I returned to the painting of Jupiter and took out my knife, careful to cut along the edges of the painting and cut it out of the frame... I rolled it up carefully and put it into my bag...
I noticed that the painting's frame had moved oddly as I cut the painting out of it, lo-and behold there was a safe behind it, with a key lock on it...
I pulled out my picks and began to persuade the lock to open... inside was the man's most valuable possesions apparently... it was a picture of his daughter... a picture of his wife, and a signet ring gilded and crafted in gold...
I took the ring, probably a token of esteem from his wife.
I went into the living room with no event and saw another of the paintings... this time of a woman with an odd hairstyle... big balls of hair on top of her head... brightly blonde... "Must be Moon..." I said...
As I neared it, I heard someone approach...
I ducked behind a couch, thankfully, a fire in the firplace provided me a blanket of shadow...
Two men began to converse...
About how "Lord" Aliester had been acting strangely since his wife and daughter's passings... and that they should seize the chance to take power from him at once...
and that all they needed was his prize ring...
and that once secured, all arrangments would be made for his...
"Untimely" demise...
It sickened me... how these jackals fed upon each other like sick dogs... but their plans would not go exactly as they had hoped...
I looked upon the ring I had just procured...
and an idea occured to me... perhaps I could play guardian angel to this..."Lord" Aliester...
After, of course I took what I wanted...
I memorized the names of these two gentleman...
Byron and Thomas... and wrote a letter to Aliester and sealed the ring in an envelope addressed to Aliester himself...Exposing their plot.
This ought to prove amusing as they say...
After Byron and Thomas finally left, I took the painting of Moon, and found the final painting of Mercury, his prized one, it depicted her amongst angels, above a lake, her arms outstretched, like an angel of mercy...
"No such mercy in this land..." I muttered...
why the queens of this kingdom didn't stop the slums existence was beyond me... but my thought, was that they didn't know...
After I left the manor... I sent the letter in the post (After stealing one of his stamps of course)
And I went to my fence in old market street...
Lars, was of course overjoyed to see me, as I always brought the best stuff (At least, he said that)
I showed him the two very valuable bottles of wine and a big smile came across his big red face...
"Two hundred each"
"So four hundred for both?"
"Yep, good take, Kabal, well done..."
"That's not all, Lars... I also took this fake gold watch from a guard..."
"Ooooh, the gold may be fake but the stones are real....
It's worth about 100 even...
and the wallets themselves about five each so 110 plus the five that was in one of them so that makes 415 so far Kabal... anything else?"
"I also stole all his silver wear..." I said as I dumped it out
"Eh, that stuff is fake...worthless..."
"Yeah, this is the grand prize for this haul..."
I took out the three paintings... and as I unrolled them, Lars' eyes began to grow as wide as saucers... his mouth was agape...
"OH MY GOD!!! KABAL, YOU HAVE A FIND HERE!!! THESE HAVE BEEN LOST FOR YEARS!!! THEY BELONG TO A COLLECTION THAT HAS BEEN INCOMPLETE FOR A LOOOOOONG TIME!!!! THESE ARE WORTH A FORTUNE!!!!
Lars tried to catch his breath and calm down.... when suddenly he noticed something... something that made his face turn very very pale, and as he inspected each painting, his face grew paler, and paler...
"Kabal... I'm so sorry... their duplicates... I-I'm so sorry, they had a mark that is hard to see... I'm so very sorry...."
"It's okay Lars... I know you wouldn't do that on purpose..."
"Look, for that I'll give you another two hundred so that makes 615 okay?"
"yeah sure...."
As Lars took out a wad of money, he began counting...
and when he finished, he felt so very guilty of his mistake, and steeled himself so that next time, it would never happen again...
Kabal walked out and went to an alley and began to drink one of the bottles he had swiped... and as the intoxicating contents took hold he suddenly felt a little better, and fell asleep...

if you want to join in you may, but remember, play nice ^_^
