You're forgetting that Makoto packs a punch. She got kicked out of school several times because of her fighting. I think putting Haruka and Makoto together in one room would be much like Schrodinger's Cat experiment: at one point, one of them will become a smear on the wall But yea, AU-wise I guess it could work, if you think of the feminine side of Makoto. Wasn't that just a rumor Umino was spreading? I thought the real reason Makoto transferred was because her sempai chose another girl and she was heartbroken, and because she sensed that Usagi was there. In the manga she says, "I had my heart broken by the older guy I loved... It was so hard for me to be at my old school." Later she goes on to say, "I transferred because I felt it was something I had to do." It sounds like she voluntarily left her old school, at any rate. In the anime did she actually get kicked out? If you're using the example of the Schrödinger's cat experiment, wouldn't that mean that until you open the box, Haruka and Makoto are neither dead nor alive? Maybe that's a different cat experiment I'm thinking of...

I was referring to the method, rather than the principle when I mentioned Schrödinger's cat And In the anime, Makoto acts like a thug when she first enters the series, which I regard as adding to the idea of her getting kicked out of her old school(s). But yes, Umino (or one of the other students) pretty much gossips about it (but, as Usagi says in the SuperS Special: Umino's rarely off when it comes to stuff like that).
