The Day of Silence was indeed yesterday, so I should've posted this earlier. I made this late into the night last night to show my passion for the Day of Silence (I know it could be better, but I needed to go to bed): I did indeed participate, and (yes) it was hard to a lot of people. No one's perfect at it, so everyone talked at some point. For those of you who don't know what the Day of Silence is, it is a day where (if you participate) you are completely silent (no form of communication whatsoever) at work or school (usually at school ). The purpose is to put ourselves in the shoes of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer (GLBTQ) people who have no voice in society. Has anyone else participated?

I didn't even know about it, and no, I didn't, LOL! Is this just a US thing?
It wouldn't be possible for me to be silent at work anyway, given we have so many clients to deal with... It would be a right ol mess!

Same here, Merc. I didn't know about it (though I think it's a dumb presentation of a good initiation). It's probably US only (which kind of figures, given the fact that the US is one of the few 1st world countries that doesn't widely accept non-heterosexuality).
