I hadn't seen the preview actually, hmmmm not sure what to think about it! Does she sound a bit too old for a 14 year old, or is that just me? Maybe it'll just take a bit of getting used to.

Funnily enough I don't mind how Usagi sounds in this scene, but Luna...... Would it be weird of me to say I think she'd sound better with an English accent (but not the old lady one from the original dub )

In Naruto, Stephanie Sheh, role for Hinata sounds young. Not sure why she didn't do her cuter voice for Usagi. lol

I kind of feel like they should just get younger people to play young characters sometimes, so that it might sound more convincing, hah. The Japanese voices seem to suit the characters a lot more, especially for someone like Usagi who kind of seems like her voice should be higher and perkier.

I'm keen to hear what the others sound like though.

Stephanie Sheh's voice sounds like it would be more suitable for Amy, since she has a softer voice. I don't know about hiring younger people, since they might have less experience and the people in charge of SM, I don't think would want them to screw it up because of the fan base, maybe? lol. I don't know. XD

I suppose that's true about lack of experience. I guess I'm just thinking of the cast of PGSM really, that they were all about 16-17ish when they made that series so they were much closer to the right ages which sounded more realistic for the characters. But obviously it's different with animation. Makes me wonder who else they might have considered though. It looks like they went for people who have done Anime voices before. I can't help thinking someone like Tara Strong could have been good somewhere though, she can do cute and perky well - then again do we want Usagi to sound like Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls? (I must admit, my knowledge of voice actors isn't really that high).

Lol, I didn't know that they were that young. Never heard her voice, so I can't really say. She was Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls? I actually watched that series. Well, I only know these voice actors because they used to show some anime on t.v. that were dubbed. I actually like the villains voices, they aren't that bad! ^_^

Yeah, I was surprised at the ages when I first looked them up as well, but it's cool that they did get teenagers to play them in that series. And even 10 or so years on they still look quite similar, hah And yeah, Tara Strong did Bubbles' voice in PPG, and she does Raven's voice in Teen Titans, and heaps of other stuff I don't watch a lot of other Anime shows, especially recent ones, so that doesn't help with knowing who these people are The voices of the villains are pretty good though, especially Beryl's

I never bothered to look them up, lol. I know, lol. I have seen pictures of some of them from other shows from Fb pages I am on. Ah, cool. I didn't know that about her. I thought she only voice MLP. XD The animes I was talking about weren't recently on t.v. They were awhile back, but I'm still a fan of them and some of them are still ongoing in the anime/manga. I have seen some recent anime too. You should watch some recent anime. I recommend it, lol. Exactly. Villains voice are cool. B|
