I watched the first act of Sailor Moon Crystal yesterday. I loved it! I saw leaks of the opening and transformation scenes a few days before the release, and at first I didn't care for either one. When I watched the episode, I was pretty pleased to find the opening song quite catchy (and I also like how it has a feminist message). I'm still not too crazy about the transformation (nothing can beat the '90s anime's transformations, in my opinion), but I did enjoy the music.
The ending song was beautiful as well, and so were the commercial eye catches (whatever they're called). So elegant. Some fans are speculating that the first season will cover both the Dark Kingdom and Black Moon arcs of the manga. I hope not, because I want this series to have more character development, but we'll see...

I loved the first episode as well, I've watched it twice already, and managed to find a download of the theme song so I can listen to it more often. I can't wait for a soundtrack to be released of this series! But yeah, at first I wasn't sure what to make of the animation, but as a whole I liked it. I'm still not sure about the transformation sequence though, something about it looks off, but oh well. I'm keen to see what the other Senshi will be like! There are only 26 episodes in this series I believe. I think it'll only cover the Dark Kingdom arc, but I'm hoping that this series will do well so that they can make more - I'd love to see Uranus, Pluto, Neptune and Saturn in this style  |

I had no problem with it. They able do more with that technology. But, don't get me wrong I still like the old transformation sequence. |

oops, it was posted before? My bad. xD No worries! It was probably hard to find amongst everything else I think it'll just take a bit of getting used to. I'm keen to see what the transformation sequences for the other Senshi are like. |
