ha ha, NOT FUNNY! besides, I'm sure Mako would understand. besides, it's hard to suddenly make Mako-chan hit ya if you're in a relationship with her, not like I'm flirting with Setsuna or anything, just complimenting her(she ages much slower than the other senshi due to excessive exposure to the gates of time, like how Kitana from MK is over 10,000 years old, and doesnt look a day over 27). Hmmz, I don't think it's excessive exposure to the gates of time. On the contrary, it's a lack of exposure to the normal flow of time, assuming that the gates of time exist 'outside of time'. And Kitana from MK is over 10,000 years old because of the lifespan of her species (if I'm correct), and not because of a lack of exposure to the flow of time.

I wouldn't know. It's been a hell of a long time since I've seen MK. actually, in MK, Kitana is an MK champion, but her realm lost anyways and was dominated by Shao Kahn. in Setsunas case, she waited for so long, so it had to be excessive exposure to the gates of times anti-chrono warp matrix. the only other ways Setsuna would be incapable of aging normally is if she had a spell cast upon her that slowed her aging to a snails pace, or she's half protoss(starcraft refrence). and it's either a spell, or excessive exposure to the gates anti-chrono warp rift. besides, the space time continuom is constant, but Setsuna would need to possibly BECOME part of the space time continuom to be able to exist outside of the normal flow of time, and as a result of being part of the space time continuom the control over time Setsuna has would keep her imune to stops and slows, but it might have a recoil if she reverses time, it could very well revert her to childhood. so much to anticipate with so many possibilities of her powers.

I will not be discussing Kitana's case, as I know too little of it. However, I think Setsuna does not choose to age at the pace she does. It must be a side-effect of living outside of time. You must remember that she guards the gates of time, a place that form the junction between all times, past, present and future. I see these three as three straight, parallel lines, never once crossing each other. However, at the junction of times, the gates of time, these lines are bent and cross each other. As present and future (or past and present, as you will) are coming closer together, the flow of time slows down (since the imaginary space present must pass to become future, it tries to make up for lost distance in an extended length of time. Keep in mind that the 'time' it takes present to become future is exactly the same amount of 'time' it takes past to become present, so as future comes closer to present, so does past in an equal manner). Eventually present and future come together in an anomaly where time seems to stand still: the gates of time. Now, the reason I said 'time seems to stand still' instead of 'time stands still' is because motion needs time to exist. Motion exists of three elements: time, space and force (energy). It's fairly easy physics and Sir Isaac Newton taught us: F = m * A X = 0.5 * A * t 2F is the force expressed on a moving object, m is the mass of the object, A is the resulting acceleration (or deceleration, mind you) of the object to be moved, X is the distance the object is moved along and t is the time span the force is expressed upon the object. Thanks to the concept of substitution, the resulting formula will look like this: X = 0.5 * F * t 2 / m Because 0.5 and m (mass) are constants, we could ignore these values, if we took an object with a mass of 0.5 units, resulting in the next formula: X = F * t 2As is clear to see, the X (distance, space), F (force, energy) and t (time span) are the only variables left. Thank you, Sir Newton. Now that we have this cleared, it is obvious that there certainly is a flow of time at the junction called the gates of time. Not only is it proven by the actions various characters perform at the junction (especially Sailor Pluto is spending a lot of 'time' there), but also the fact that there is a certain chronology that seems to uphold. (I can imagine Sailor Pluto saying something like 'Someone has passed through the gates of time earlier' (NOTE: 'earlier')). I could try to explain the fact that motion exists where time should not by further elaborating upon the fact of mass-energy constants in various dimensions and the power of the mind as a role in motion, but I will not, it would make this post rather lengthy, ununderstandable for the general crowd and I'd have to take a few months of HARD thinking to come up with a decent line of explanations involving those before I do. Everyone's free to reply ... (expects only Raptor and Cresh). It would be nice to have a debate with more 'players' though.

point made, mass movement in mind over matter does play a huge part. simmilar to the protoss being able to live for over 1000 years as a minimum lifespan. the Dark Templar Matriarch is 1045 years old, so she remembers banishment, I'm Sure Setsuna was possibly blessed with the psychic or psionic ability to increase the time in which her life spans. which could possibly lead to her secret ability to control time without the need to transform, but if she ages slowly only at the gates of time, and ages regularly in our time based dimention, then a hypothosis might say she quickly ages, and only shows up in small intervals, or, on the other hand, Setsuns could age at possibly half the rate of normal people. If setsuna doesnt age at the gates of time, but ages normally when amoung normal humans, then she could very well find some way to guard alone, but if she is still bound to normal human limits, she possibly had to leave the gates on a constant basis, to injest sustinance, and excrete her bodily waste. so she might have to eat and use the bathrom if she doesnt wanna be ultra uber psycho and be deranged while guarding the gates.

And the debate ends abruptly ... ^^; On the bathroom/dinner thing: I've never seen any of the senshi indicate such phyiscal needs in either saga 1 or 5 and that gives a clear hint as to whether or not they actually have to No, I wouldn't know. I'm sure the gates of time could become the gates to the bathroom at times ^^;

GAH!!! NOT the dinner thing! Yesh, they eat LOADS and LOADS of food, but I mean the bathroom thingy! ^^; sorry, should have specified. Mako can eat a lot because her metabolism runs quite faster than other people, it's a sustinance by digestion by energy absorbtion equasion, where consuming food, leads to a certain ammount of energy input to the body, and digestion quickly turns the food into the energy needed. in terms of bodily waste and using the bathroom... I hope they eat plenty of fiber to push all that out.*gets strangled by Mako-chan for nearly quoting hellboy* and lets not forget the freaky-deaky toilets in Japan.*gets put into a full body submission hold being yelled at about toilets* I hope toilet paper is still in use, I'd hate to use one of those sprayers in my sphincter.

There is no way that Setsune, aka Pluto is boring. At least to me, but I'm unusual in my own rights too, as my brother is always reminding me.
