Anime is good, but so is manga. Many people don't really understand the difference.

I think manga is prettier, but I prefer anime anyway.

I generally prefer the anime's artwork. I may be swayed by the fact that it moves and it's all in color. The promotional illustrations and cards and such have a nice clean look that I like. The manga artbook pictures are quite pretty, though. But manga Luna's face was a little strange sometimes... And the anime figures often seemed more solid.

I prefer the anime version of Sailor Moon because I never saw the manga version of Sailor Moon.

Can't help but rant.
It really depends on which anime to be honest. Sailor Moon manga just slid by me. Couldn't really get a hold of the characters' personalities 'n stuff. The anime dragged along though, too many fillerup eps.
If I look at Hellsing though, I'm enjoying the manga WAAAY more than I enjoyed the anime, particularly because the storyline seems a bit more solid and there's (hopefully) a more clear ending.

I suppose it's true... the SM manga moves a bit fast. Not enough Nephrite or Kaorinite ;.; (More Saturn, though! She actually transforms.) They needed to take about 50 episodes off the anime and stick them in the manga. And make them all about Endymion and the Shitennou. >3 (A girl can dream...)

Ah, manga, definitely. I've grown attached to manga vs. its anime counterpart in many series, because it seems more personal, and because the characters look much more mature and elegant. There's a lot more detail, too. -DoB

And you know, minna, you can't just say "I like the manga/anime better because I've never seen/read the anime/manga." Well, you can, but it doesn't make sense. How can you like one better if you've never seen or read the other? -DoB

Konnichiwa mina-san,
I really don't have a preference between the three different versions of Sailor Moon: manga, anime and live-action. I like each of one them for different reasons. I love the storyline of all three and how events covered by all three are interpreted differently yet can still be seen as the same. I like how the personalities of the characters are different but do have a core of shared characteristics. I love the artwork of the manga more than I do the anime or the live-action but at the same time I love the fluid motion of the later anime seasons and the vibrant acting of the live-action. I think the only time I was disappointed with any of the versions of Sailor Moon it was the fourth season of the anime. While I hugely enjoyed the comedy of the fourth season and the later episodes when things got serious, I thought character development of this season was a little strange. I also had trouble with the Amazon Trio, they seemed weak in the personality department as bad guys, especially when compared to the previous bad guys the Sailor Senshi had faced.
