I wish I could cook like Jupiter... so unfair. I have to put up with my crappy rubbish that I try to cook. I can't even cook two minute noodles properly.. but then again, I cook it the Italian way.

if you mean ramen noodles you can get a packet of noodles, put the noodles in a bowl, put the seasoning on the noodles, pour water carefully on the seasoning so the seasoning can penetrate the noodles a bit easier until the bowl has enough water, put the bowl in the microwave for THREE MINUTES, then let the noodles sit for 3-10-20 minutes to an hour so the noodles can soak up the broth, then remove from microwave and ENJOY. ^_^ thats how I do it. ^_^ I do my cooking the polish way if I ever get stuck. anyways, I dont think I'd ever have to worry about cooking ever again if I lived with Mako-chan, I'd be in heaven. ^_^

Dude, what kinda messed up noodles are you tryin to make? You gotta put up some water to boil, put the noodles in a bowl, pour the boiled water over it and let it get all mushy (much like spaghetti), THEN you take the noodles OUT of the water (you can leave SOME water if you like it better that way), THEN put on the seasoning, make sure to stir it through the noodles, and enjoy.

I have to agree with Zyp, on the noodle thing. I can cook okay, though I've kinda been banished from making cookies...I kinda screw up when I looked at how much flour your suppose to put in, I kinda put in 41/2 instead of 4 1/2....heh heh... we got over 200 cookies from that batch...

lol. but I do things different, I usually have Ramen Noodles that come packaged in that plastic thing, or I have the cup of noodles.
the packaged version, I take a bowl from the cupboard first, then I take the pack of noodles and take the noodles out, then I put the noodles in the bowl(it resembles a brick when taken out). I put the seasoning on the noodles, then I pour water on the noodles and seasoning, I put the noodles(which are in the bowl of water as the seasoning has begun to mix with the water), into the microwave, and set the microwave for 3 minutes. after three minutes I let the noodles sit so the noodles can absorb the water, and then I enjoy, the way you do it Zyp, I'm surprised you havent died of starvation, I (unlike steriotypical men), read the instructions on packs of noodles!
with cup of noodles, I pour the water into the cup, set it in the microwave for three minutes, and then after waiting I enjoy.
it really pays to follow the INSTRUCTIONS. I dont cook noodles the italian way, unless I need too, I know how to cook, I just doubt I'd do a good job with so many recipies.

I don't know what kinda messed up instructions your noodles have, but mine are logical and the result of following them is a tasty bowl of seasoned noodles. And what's this microwave shiznit? You pplz on the american continent think everything is done with a microwave. You need a WATER BOILER for good instant noodles!

microwave means it gets done faster, and when I get hungery, I'm hungery NOW, not three hours from now. by then I'm famished and my stomache growls like a beast from the pits of hell.

Hmmz, wouldn't that put Weightwatchers out of a job? Microwave = bad. Water boiler = good. Oven = good. Furnace = good. Hell, even a coffee maker is good. Take it from me, ANY -that's right- ANY chef would take ANY -that's right- ANY kitchen appliance over a microwave.

we know. we know. Microwave's are horrible, but when I'm feelin lazy, tend to use it on certain things. however, I've never used it for ramen noodles. I wouldn't know how too. I just put the water in, put the noodles in, and wait for the water to start foaming.

The only thing I use a microwave for is popcorn (and even that would be better from an oven or frying pan)

well some of us are accustomed to cooking with a microwave, and some are accustomed to cooking with the oven, it's all a matter of oppinion. I have my preference of methods, and you have yours, but from everything I've remembered about do-it yourself popcorn, there's always gonna be those few damned kernels of corn that NEVER pop, and stay hard or get burned, and get the remainder of the butter and salt from it's poped and departed brethren.

Hmmz, yea, I seem to experience the same problem. Some of'em just don't pop. But I eat those anyway, put my jaws to the test (hey, I paid for it okay?). Anywayz, not using a microwave is not just my preference, it's the preference of many (if not all) moderately selfrespecting chefs.

dont go belittleing me, I made some of my favorite foods using the microwave. I sometimes eat the un-poped kernals, but it pretty much means crap when you can just buy it pre-made in a bag, I know fresh is better, but I just dont like having to bust my teeth on those rock-hard kernals(good thing I'm on social security now. ^_^).

*itch* I've never really cooked anything in the microwave. I've only warmed up sterf. lol, I haven't ever made popcorn for that matter.*itch* I'm just to lazy. I think my brother's the only one who does, so I usually steal some from him. *itch* I don't think using a microwave can count as cooking, Raptor...hm, *itchy, tasty*
