I actually did that when I was in fourth an fifth grade (record the show). I wound up using two tapes, containing R and about half of S. I was lucky I got home from school about 10 minutes before it came on. Either way, Mercury always will be one of my favorite senshi (along side Michiru & Haruka) XD Oh the intelligence! The innocence! The LOGIC!! Yeah, I know, I get carried away. I'll leave it at that...

First of all on the subject of cats I personaly like them. They do have a flaw however in that they like to play off your emotions, cats are very smart as my cat has proven to me many times. He'll play with you, but only when he's in the right mood. He'll let you carry him around, but, he'll want something in return. Normaly just some petting but quite often its water or food. Also when he doesn't get his way he can get rather nasty, espicaly at night. sometimes I wonder how's the master, me, or him? ;D Anyway, back to Amy, Amy is my favorite Scout of all time and I intend to do a multi day post on the subject here for all of you to enjoy. Now the only question left is where to begin... hmmmm... okay. I've decided, we'll now overlook the reason that most people dislike Amy. Her studyaholicness. When I was on Sailormoon.org there was a forum called the Favorite Scout forum. I spent over six months posting daily to that forum in defence of Amy and a few other Scouts. (The other was mostly Rini, I don't know why, it just seemed like Sailor Moon lovers were out to get her ) During my time there the thing that Amy recieved the most flak for was her devotion to her studies. Alot of people just seemed to be alergic to the fact that Amy liked to study. They therefore classified her as a nerd and stuck her on a shelf to be ignored. It took me a little while (And alot of arguments) Until I finaly arrived at what I believe to be the answer. (I could be wrong and would love to hear your own personal opinon on the topic) She's following a dream. Her dream, as any good Sailor Mercury fan knows is to become a great doctor. To help people and to follow in her mother's footsteps, that is her dream. Each of the Scouts has their own dream and I wont go into detail about them here. This is how Amy persues her dream, by preparing for it. Being who she is, I believe that Amy has her dream laid down in a plan something like this. 1. Study Hard to Recieve Good Grades 2.Use Good Grades to get Into A Good School 3.Work Hard at the Good School to go to a Good Medical School. 4.Work Hard at Med. School to Become a Good Doctor. 5.Work Hard at being a Good Doctor to Become a Great Doctor. Amy has a dream. Somewhere inside of us, we all have dreams. Mine is to become an Air Force Pilot, to that end I joined JROTC and am now the top ranking Cadet. I intend to go onto College ROTC and excell there as well. Some people don't map out their dreams, they hope that it'll just happen for them. Amy isn't like that, she works to make her dream a reality. She's my role modle in that respect and I truely hope I can leave up to her. Tune in tomarrow to hear about Amy: The Shy Scout~The Hawk is perched, the nest is made. Here is the Predator. Where is the Prey?~

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to day two of my mulit-day exposition on Amy. First of all I would like to thank Azaargus and Michiru Kaioh for their comments on my behalf. ;D Nothing better then reading fanmail. Okay... enough stalling lets get to the main event. As promised we have before you today: Amy: The Shy Scout Now... where to start, this topic is so vast. Unlike the other one its tough to nail down in a bullet point sequence. Okay, how about this. It is very easy to see that Amy is shy. Without a doubt, all the signs are there. She's easily embearessed and will fall to Sarena's pier pressure with ease. I'm not going to try to convince you she's not shy because... well she is. Its a part of her personality and it deserves a deeper explanation. Amy is shy. But why? It would be easy to write this off to her extreme intellegence. (IQ of 300 if memory serves) Smart people are quite often ostrcised because they make other people around them feel stupid in comparison. Its not something they intend to do its just a consequence of intelegence. A good example would be how Sarena acts around Amy when their at study group. I can't count the number of times I've seen the Anime sweat drop for Sarena in thoes situations. Sarena however is the type of person who will just brush it off in a few minutes and so there will be no breach in their friendship. Around strangers however smart people are quite often seen as highly stuck up. (And don't get me wrong, some of them do become quite arrogent but they are the exception to the rule) However most of them just don't know how to relate to the people around them. Personaly though I believe that to simply write Amy's shyness off on her inteligence is lazy. As a true Amy fan I've dug a little deeper and for the first time on the net I shall share my findings. (I never even told the guys on SailorMoon.org this) The first topic that comes up next is the fact that she is a new transfer student. As a person who has moved alot myself I can relate to the effect this has on a person. (Side comment for your amusment: When I lived in Tokyo for a year I lived at 4-8-4 Minami-Azabu. Amy lives in Minami Azabu. Unfortunitly I didn't learn this till much later. ) As someone who has moved eight times before I was sixteen two of which were to different contenents I can relate to the effect that has on a persons personality. I'm sorry to say that my middle brother has never recovered from the effects and has become loner. (On the flip side though I personaly believe that we get along better then any other set of brothers around, we had to, there was no one else) When you move into new surroundings it can be very dissorintating. arriving at a new school where you don't know anyone. Also adding fuel to the fire is the fact that she was immediatly ostrocised for her intelegence. I remember a certian sceen where Amy has just arrived and is looking out of a window. I can't remember exactly what Sarena said but it certinly wasn't nice and Amy overheard her. Things like that can cut into a new kids feelings likes the sharpest of knifes. They can take a shy kid and turn them into a recluse. Amy, thankfully was stronger then that and just but it behind and beneath her. The next one that comes up is one that not many people pay attention to but Amy's parents are divorced. (Or at least seperated) Her dad's an artist and her latent musical talents most likly are off shoots of this artistic talent. Otherwise she follows behind her mother in most areas. From what I've seen (Might be wrong on this) Amy's mother isn't around much. She apears to have raised herself. I don't personaly have experience with this but I have a friend who I personaly believe needs the help of a good phyciatrist. I'm one of the only friends he has and even I don't understand him. His relationships with his parents are highly distorted, he hates his mom. Dosn't hate or like his dad perticualarly even though he lives with him. He has an older brother who lives out in California who he either hates or likes. (Depending on the day) Seeing what his parents brakeup have done to him has made me look at Amy in a whole new light. This is quite possibly the biggest reason for her shyness. Take each of these situations on their own and you have the potential for a very lonley kid. Slam them togather and its amazing that Amy has survived at all. Let's just say I don't think I could have. Amy has a strengh, an inner strengh that no one seems to have ever noticed before. Her ability to keep pushing toward her goals and dreams when it would be much easier to 'slip into dementa' (to quote a friend ;D) is nothing short of astounding. I hope these posts make you continue to look at Amy in a new light. Never settle for the lazy impression of a person. Never catagorize because the moment you do you miss half of their inner beauty. Tune in tomarrow for the conclusion: Amy: Sailor Mercury (You wont want to miss this one Amy lovers!) ~No prey in sight. But plenty of water. This place is good, and the land is rich. I will prosper here.

;D Well, well... It appears that I have been quoted You are the very first person to do that... And to defend Ami, no less. I could not be more pleased. And on your other words... Well, my words fail me for the moment as it is very late right now in Arkansas:) But, needless to say, I am impressed, Hawk. Keep up the good work;)

Well.. this is it. My fianal post on Amy. It's interesting comming online as late as I do. ;D It allows me to get the last word in alot of things. (Quite a useful tool believe me) Well, I've got 55 mins till my next T.V. show comes on. Anime Unleashed. Tech T.V. It's not Sailor Moon, but Silent Mobius is not bad for a stand in. (Let's just say I've seen worse) Also I've got my Sailor Moon CD in my computer. "You've got to believe... got to believe... in the power of love! You've got to believe... got to believe... in the power of love! It gives meaning to each moment, its what are hearts are all made of...You've got to believe... got to believe... in the power of love!" Okay, motivation...check! Picture of Amy...not check !...hold on a min...sorry about that...check! Okay, enough stalling time to enter my zone. Amy:Sailor Mercury Sailor Mercury, on Sailormoon.org Sailor Mercury took flak for being: 'The Weakest Scout' It took alot of convincing but eventualy they saw the light. Sailor Mercury is far from being week. Her attacks are simply far more specialized then the others. Which suits her fighting style: Mind over metter. Prehaps after I describe her three main attacks we can discuss this fighting style further. Sailor Mercury's Three main attacks are: 1.Mercury Bubble's Blast 2.Shine Aqua Illusion 3.Mercury Aqua Rapsody 1. Mercury Bubble Blast was the first attack Sailor Mercury learned. If you take it on its own it looks rather week. When alone this attack is not good for much else then making your enemy shiver while you run away in the smoke screen. However I've never sceen an enemy more vunerable then when they're blind. People tend to panic when they lose their sight and from what I've seen Yoma do the same. An enemy who is blind and paniced is in a perfect position for a sailor Moon finishing move. 2. Shine Aqua Illusion was the second attack learned by Sailor Mercury. This attack is rather interesting and proves that Sailor Mercury is the Scout of Ice instead of water as she is sometimes mistaken to be. Sailor Neptune is the Sailor of water. (Or at least the oceans well... I'll worry about that later ) Shrine Aqua Illusion is an attack that creates a spray of Ice water that freezes anything it touches. I have very rarely seen this attack performed to its full ability. It is truely powerful when used correctly. Needless to say Sailor Mercury froze the scouts oponent solid. (I believe that was in one of the earlier movies) On its own this attack has great potential. Having an enemy frozen in place is the perfect set up for a fellow scout to move in to finish off the enemy. This is where is gets fun however. Lets put Mercury Bubble Blast with Shine Aqua Illusion. If you put the two attacks togather you get a Yoma who's probably had limbs frozen, is blind, paniced, and probably a bit chilly. As someone who intends to go into the military I can tell you right now, you really couldn't give your allies a better set up then that. 3. Mercury Aqua Rapsody is an attack I was dying waiting for. Because this attack finaly gives Sailor Mercury the punch she has been waiting for. Its fine to set your enemy up for the knock out blow but if there is no one there to help you your stuck. This attack gives Sailor Mercury the ability, the potential to stand up to nearly any enemy alone and defeat them. Mercury Aqua Rapsody is an attack that consists of a high pressure jet of water erupting from Sailor Mercury and slaming into the enemy. Bah, you say! Who's afraid of a little water, You say! Think about this Einstein: Imagine a the stream of water emitting from a fire hose. It could sweep you off your feet easy. Imagine that power doubled, tripled, quadrupled. That could cause you some serious damage. Put them togather and you have a Yoma who's: Frozen, blind, paniced, chilly, and...dead. Mind over matter: Sailor Mercury's fighting style requires the use of her inteligence (which is a commodity never in short supply ;D) to use her unique gifts to aid in the other Scouts in battle. With the stratigic use of her moves she can put a Yoma at a dissadvantage and we all know it takes just one slip on the bad guys part and Sailor Moon will Moondust em. Also she gains the capability to fight succesfuly on her own with Mercury Aqua Rapsody. What other people saw as the weaknessess of her attacks are actualy her strenghs, if used correctly... That's where her V.R. goggles come in. Personaly, when I join the military, I want one of thoes. The goggles ability to analyze enemy data reference with Sailor Mercury's Pocket Computer and deliver her weak points is nothing short of astounding. Coupled with Amy's ability to use her reasources (The other Scouts) correctly in maximizing thoes weaknesses gives her a leadership role that is quite often overlooked. Behind every boisterious General, there is a Major doing the paperwork. Amy is a very special person. You all know that, or you wouldn't be in this site, looking up this topic. Amy has hidden reserves of strengh barried withen her charactor that have been ignored for too long. I;m certian you sensed it too Azaargus. She deserves to be exulted, instead she is quite often burried. Casted aside under sterotypes as 'The nerd' or 'The Weakling' I hope that after reading these posts you understand better. You cannot classify a person into a set sterotype. Your only putting blinders on yourself as you'll miss the many great little things that show who a person really is. Well... that's about it. You've exhusted my store of Amy knowledge for the time being. I've posted on the three main topics that were discussed at my old site and am therefore out of ammunition. Before you in these three posts is over a years worth of reasearch and empathy toward Amy/Sailor Mercury. I's like to hear what you guys think. Rating out of ten... Good? Bad? Horrible? Also if you would like me to post a section on another topic relating to Amy/Sailor Mercury all you have to do is ask. Ask and you will recieve. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door will be opened to you. ~The hawk, his chores done. Leaves the night to the owls. But never fear, with daylight the hint will be on again. The hawk shall return.~

Well, I am mentioned again I must say, Hawk, that I am very impressed. And you assumed right, I knew a whole lot of this information for a long time. It is funny though, as I have been up all of this night, although not here, (I had business to conclude) I have been eager to return to my mail and see if anyone else posted. I am grateful that there are so many Ami supporters here, as I have been forced to bare the burden of defending Ami from my friends. Hawk, excellent work.
