You should have a place where you can listen to sailor moon music! ;D

Well there is a board specifically for SM music which features links to sites where you can download songs from the Anime...
Or do you mean there should be a Midi player here so that when you open the site music starts playing? In all honesty I don't see the point, because it can make things take longer to download, and for me personally I never have my computer speakers on so I wouldn't hear it anyway...
Interesting thought, though... however I just don't think there's enough call for it, really...

Hey Sailor Merucry I'll officaly make a call for it. Although I often have Sailor Moon music playing in the backround when I type my Essay's it would be nice to have a little something going on in the backround while we search around the site. Like maybe each Scouts subtopic could have a different song and the main board could have a song too. I understand if this is too much work for you, but I believe it would be really cool!

Maybe, but it might make the pages take longer to download (it has happened to me before)... It's not about "too much work", I just don't want to do it on a preference level... I hope you understand...

How about we at least do a poll of the GMod's? That way we can see if even one other person likes it but me, If I'm the only one, than we scrap it. Would that be ok?

I would ahve to say no, as a forum owner i know How Mercury feels, this can totally kill the speed of the forum for those with slower connections.

Exactly, and that is my main concern. I'll be perfectly honest, I really don't want to do it... and it's not just the download issue... it's also the fact that I don't know the code for it anyway...
But yeah... I don't want to... so... I mean we haven't had it before and the members seem happy enough without it so... *shrug*

I don't think music on the site is a bad thing, it's just that you need to find the right way to bring it. First of all, slow users (like dialup users) have problems accessing the forum due to loading times, especially if you're gonna load a full midi/wav/mp3 on the background. Second, you have 400+ members here, and they all have a different opinion. Some will like the music, some will not.
Here's an alternative to 'background' music: Make an extra button in the navigation (or on the bottom of the pages). When clicked, it will open a new window (which will only load once, by choice of the viewer, no matter how long they'll browse the forum). In this window, a music script will run, with a pre-chosen playlist. I know there's a script like that available somewhere, I'm not sure what it's called though. I'll do some googling for that.
