GAH! This took FOREVER! And for what? I try to login, it says 'We need your birthday filed to comply to the US law blabla'. I say screw the US Law (which I can say since I'm European ), but I don't think that would get me anywhere, so I fill it in. Anxious to get back to posting here again, I eagerly await the frontpage to load .... damn activation keys ... I'M ALREADY A MEMBER!!! Alas, I'm back, and I gotta say the new layout of the threads looks pretty good ... I read through the entire list of added features and some looked useful One major plus is the Quck Reply box (which IMO should have been here all along).

speaking of the quick reply box, i am testing it now with this reply! PS: I feel your frustration Zyp. I kept checking back and it was like "look i'm a crappy little flash animation!!" Note: The Quick Reply box was cooler then I thought it would be.

Too bad that the people at proboards don't realize that children lie. Just like the proboard people do. 24 hours? Closer to 48. Edit: This is still my favorite page: sailorm.proboards7.com/index.cgi?action=recentJust wish that it had more than 10.

Ah it's not so bad. The new admin powers are awesome though! Unfortunatley, SSO is on server 29, so I won't get the true feel of it yet, but my new one is on 7, so it's upgraded. Awesome!

Hmmz, the QR Box is pretty neat, yes, but back in the days when I was still on a forum named Evolution Forums, it was on vBulletin, and I got to mess around with the source code etc (this is where I first learned PHP), I made my own hacks (add-ons that make the forum look cooler or make it more useful, etc) and I once improved the (standard) QR Box with a smilies pad, attachment option, etc. That was the best.

PHP is the crap - but that's just because one my fiance's jobs is programming it and he gets paid tons of money to make things look pretty. ;-; IT'S NOT FAAAIR I wish I could but I have no patience for programming! I've programmed one game in my life, and that is all I'm ever doing!!

LOL...
Something I found frustrating was editing the headers... Well there's probably some easier way but from what I could see, you can't edit them all in one hit. If you want different colours for individual boards, you have to go back and forth, and that's annoying... Before they were all displayed so you could just do what you had to, and then hit 'save', and it was done...

Yes! The headers were difficult to edit, but I got used to it.
P.S. Thank goodness for Quick Reply!

MySQL + PHP = most powerful web application environment ever.

Hold on, this board is going to be down? What does that mean? Is this board going to be taken off the internet? Somebody tell me what's going on

What most people don't know is that Proboards is not run by an entire company. It is run by one person. He takes his time to code everything himself. The laws about being 13 and older to join could get him into a lot of trouble and the entire proboards community can be closed down. It doesn't matter where you are from as the servers themselves are located in Southern California. So you have to follow the rules of that State and country.

Those younger than 13 will now lie about there age, thus defeating the point of having the age check.

Unfortunately I just don't have the patience for it. I'm not a programming type girl. I'm a graphics girl.
