“Hmm…” Ami took out her mini computer, tapping her fingers against the keys lightly. “Well he’s comprised of water, and it looks like freezing him is a definite way to at least slow him down. And I think he’d be wary of you, Makoto-chan,” she looked up. “As water and electricity don’t mix well at all,”
“And Kora?” Rei asked.
“Apparently her asset is physical strength,” said Michiru.
“So that’d make me her match,” Haruka smirked, arching her eyebrow.
“He’s on his waaaay!” Usagi’s voice rang out as she returned, sitting down next to Illyria. “Ooh you’re so thin…” she murmured, staring at the older girl. “Do you eat enough?”
“Enough to get by,” Illyria replied, somewhat defensively. In reality her stomach was growling terribly, and she knew she needed to eat something.

Makoto looked at Haruka. "Or it'd make her your match." She responded to the blonde's remark. "From what we heard, you weren't exactly gaining the upper hand against Kitakawa. What if Kora equals Kitakawa in skill, and outdoes him in strength? You'd be in for a real smacking around." It was a possible scenario, but the brunette knew it'd leave Haruka unphased. That was why she was talking to the tomboy, but hoping to reach Michiru. She'd talk some sense into her brawny Outer Senshi counterpart.
Minako had heard Usagi talk to Illyria and was looking her up and down now. "Yea, you do seem a bit scrawny. Do you want some food?" She smirked. "I know I do, and I'm sure there's another blonde in here ... " She looked pointedly at Usagi. " .. who'd like a bite."

“Who me?!” Usagi smiled innocently. “Well if you’re offering…”
Illyria smirked at their interaction. “Ok, sure… thanks…”
“I’ll go and get something for you all,” Rei replied, standing up and heading into the temple.
Haruka merely shrugged at Makoto’s comment. “Sure… but I don’t have to fight her alone, do I?” she cast a glance at Illyria. “Maybe “Little Miss Earth” here as more up her sleeve than just freezing powers?”
Illyria blushed. “Oh, uh… I’m not sure. That’s just the first one that came to me,”
“Good thing too, it worked like a charm,” Haruka replied.
“Of course you have more powers than that,” Luna stated. “You just need to be in the right situation to discover them. Plus you have those other skills… Witchcraft, you said? Do you remember any of it?”
Illyria frowned. “Sort of… I’m not sure how powerful I’d be though…”
“There’s only one way to find out,” said Rei, returning to the group with a large tray of food. She set it down, slapping Usagi’s hand away. “Illyria gets first choice,” she said sternly.
Illyria looked down at the offering of cakes and other goodies. “Ooh, yum…” she said, trying to cover the growl of her stomach.

Minako looked at Illyria starry-eyed. "You know witchcraft?! That's SOOO cool! You have GOT to teach me!" Minako had suddenly especially interested in Illyria now. The blonde had learned in the United Kingdom that witchcraft was the manifestation of worship towards the Goddess of Love. And the fact that she represented the Goddess of Love, Venus, and that she didn't know witchcraft was something inexcusable in her own mind.
As soon as Rei came back with the cookies, she had the decency to wait until Illyria had gotten some, but she made sure she had her hands on a cookie before Usagi -the human trashbin- ate all of it.
((OOC: To be exact, something else is the manifestation of worship towards Venus, but that doesn't fall in the scope of PG-13 I'm afraid))

Illyria smiled, swallowing the mouthful of food she had taken before replying. “It’s really interesting, actually. I mean… I’ve actually dabbled in it before, just simple little things… I’ll show you,” she grinned, picking up another cookie and setting it down in front of her. She stared at it for a moment, her eyes becoming black. Suddenly the cookie started trembling, rising into the air slowly and hovering in front of her.
“Wow…” Rei breathed, in awe. “That’s so cool…”
The others just watched in silence as the cookie floated in midair in front of Illyria’s blackened eyes, before she let if fall back down again. “So yeah, that’s just something… But now that I remember about my past, I’m starting to remember more spells,” she replied, blushing slightly as her eyes returned to their normal colour.

Minako stared in absolute awe. She was silent for a moment, before looking up at Illyria. "That's SO much cooler than when Rei sets stuff on fire ..." She spoke softly, still marveling over the cookie. She picked it up and examined it, then ate it. "Doesn't taste any different from a normal cookie though. Which is another good thing." She grinned at Usagi. "Snatched another cookie from you." Before giving the other blonde a raspberry.
Makoto went back to talking to the Outer Senshi. For some reason she felt just a tad more comfortable being around the boyish blonde than the ditzy ones. "So I assume you two are going to take the enemy on as a team then? No more duels?" Though the concept of a duel between a Sailor Senshi and an Atlantean was welcome, it had to be on neutral grounds ... as far as that existed. Anywhere near water and the Atlantean had an advantage, and anywhere away from water gave them an immediate disadvantage.

“It’s in our best interests to work together on this, yes,” Michiru replied. “With our collective powers we should be better prepared,”
“Hmm… I still wouldn’t mind taking on that little water jerk again though, or that Kora you mentioned,” Haruka muttered, glaring at the food tray.
Illyria looked over at them. “We should probably learn more about them though, right? To know what we’re really up against?”
“So you’re willing to help?” Luna looked up at her.
“Of course. It’s my calling, isn’t it?” Illyria smirked, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

Makoto smiled. "No more duels would be in our best interest indeed." She agreed with Michiru on this one. She had seen what Kitakawa was capable of, and wasn't about to be caught in an unfair fight. She wondered if there was anything on the news about the pier that 'mysteriously broke loose and sank' in Tokyo harbour. She got up and turned to her friends. "I'm gonna go check out the news. By now, at least one reporter should have noticed the missing pier." And with that, she went inside the temple.

“Sounds like a good idea to me,” Haruka nodded, following the other girl.
“Wait for me, I wanna see if there are any cartoons on!” Usagi called out, her mouth full of cookies as she stood up and raced after them.
“Hehe…” Illyria smirked, shaking her head. She turned her attention to the others. “So… Tell me about you guys… I’m interested in all this now, seeing as I’m, well, one of you, I guess,”
“I’m here!” Mamoru’s voice called out, interrupting them from further conversation. “Sorry…” he emerged through the doorway and sat down next to Illyria, casting her with a friendly smile as he handed the sketch book to her. “I had a look through it, hope you don’t mind. It’s very good, you have a lot of talent,”
Illyria blushed. “Oh uh… thanks…”
“Can I see?” Michiru asked, smiling.
“Sure,” Illyria passed the book over to her.
Mercury moved over to look at it as well, her curiosity particularly peaked in the drawings of Kitakawa that Illyria had done.

Makoto turned on the tv and grabbed the remote, starting to zap through various channels. "Hmm, looks like there's not much on about the harbour." She kept zapping until she found a newschannel that reported strange behaviour of the pacific. She was zapping so fast that she zapped right over it, but went back to follow the story. "...has been showing strange currents lately. Satellite images show that this is more or less a huge, slow whirlpool. However, in conventional whirlpools, the waterlevel lowers. In this case, it's a different situation altogether. Meteorologists and zoologists alike have claimed that..."
Outside, Minako shuffled behind Illyria to see the art as well. She wanted to see what all the newest Senshi had drawn. Initially, the blonde had been slightly repelled by Illyria's -horrible- choice of clothes. She needed something refreshing and trendy. Perhaps Minako could convince her to go shopping with her.

Inside, Haruka leant forward, watching the TV closely, frowning.
“Ooh it’s freaky,” Usagi murmured, staring at it in wonder.
“Ssh…” Haruka hushed her quickly. “Listen…”
*
Michiru turned over the pages of Illyria’s book, her eyes widening. “Impressive…” she glanced up at Illyria. “Do you paint as well?”
“No, just draw, but I sometimes colour stuff with pastels if I feel the need to, heh,” the other girl replied, shifting uncomfortably. She rarely showed off her artwork to anyone, and found it hard to accept praise.
Ami frowned, studying the drawing of Kitakawa. Illyria had captured his likeness perfectly, and even started to give it a bit of colour as she mentioned she did from time to time. It appeared she had mixed different blues to create the exact tone of his hair…
“It’s really good,” Rei said, smiling. “I love it! Do you take requests?”
Illyria smirked. “Heh, sure, I guess…” she glanced up, noticing that Minako was staring at her. “Um… are you ok…?”

"Meteorologists and zoologists alike have claimed that this is strange behaviour, but will not significantly affect any of the continents because of its low speed. Both Russia and the United States have sent submarines towards this phenomenon in order to analyse it, but so far no information has been given by either of the countries. According to professor Azakaya Tako from the Tokyo Meteorologist Centre, the raised level of water located at the whirlpool has caused the water at the shore of Japan to lower by at least four inches. Azakaya-san informs us that according to satellite images taken previously, the whirlpool is rising even more, causing the waterlevel of the Pacific Ocean to drop even further. What exactly is causing this whirlpool is as of yet unknown. We'll keep you updated." And then a commercial broke through.
Minako shrugged. "We should go shopping together sometime. Your clothes arn't exactly trendy or cool. Your drawings however ... I wish I could draw like that. Those are so awesome!"

Despite the ending compliment, Illyria found herself becoming somewhat defensive of her attire. “What’s wrong with my clothes? They don’t need to be trendy… I think they’re cool,” she looked down at what she was wearing, all black as was often her custom. Black pants, black boots, a black, fitted short sleeved shirt. “There’s nothing wrong with these…”
Rei laughed. “Don’t take it personally,” she replied. “Minako just has a bit of an eye for fashion. To be honest I quite like what you’re wearing,”
“Me too,” Ami put in. “It sort of suits you,”
“A splash of colour might not hurt though,” Michiru said, looking up from the sketch book. “Maybe some green like in your Senshi outfit? It would bring out your eyes,” she smiled.
Illyria arched her eyebrow. “Aaw man…”
*
“I know what’s causing the whirlpool…” Haruka muttered, shaking her head. “Those damn Atlanteans…”
Usagi let out a fearful squeak. “Ooh no, what are we going to do?!”

Makoto put the remote down and leaned back, blowing out some air to release some of the tension that had been building up in her body from watching the news report. "I don't think there's much we can do. I don't think we'll ever hear anything of that 'analysis' they were talking about. Those submarines are gone already." She turned to look at Usagi. "This may turn out to be one ugly mess, all in all. Perhaps we should keep you out of the action, Usagi."
Minako pouted. "They're black. You sound a bit like Hotaru, and that's NOT a good thing. You know what they say: a smile a day keeps black clothing away. Or something." She laughed a bit apologetically. "Heheh, anyway, did you talk to Kitakawa when you drew him?"

“Hotaru…?” Illyria arched her eyebrow, then shrugged. “Yeah I did talk to him, didn’t get much though… He was kind of weird, looking back. He didn’t say whether he liked the drawing or not either, actually,” she frowned. “And there’s nothing wrong with black,” she added in a low voice.
*
Usagi nodded. “That’s fine with me!”
“Not necessarily,” Haruka mused. “You are the Princess after all. We might need you in the group to boost our power,”
“But you heard what Luna said about Illyria! She could help instead, she’s probably a better fighter than me too, she had all that training!” Usagi protested.
Haruka rolled her eyes. “Then wouldn’t it be better if you and her combined your powers to make them even stronger?”
