ARTEMIS is truly an option. Artemis loves Mina - he gives Minako flowers and everything. Much more then you can probably say. Yeah, but she's a human, and I don't know if Artemis true form is a cat or a human. Being friends is one thing, but (if his true form is a cat) a human and an animal being romantically involved is absolutely wrong. Artemis and Luna as a couple makes alot more sense.

But Artemis is not like other cats in that he can talk and form a stronger relationship with her than just that of a pet. Besides, I don't think it would be a sexual relationship. There are other kinds of love, and Minako has pledged her chastity to the princess.

Minako has pledged her chastity to the princess. Wow, that can be taken the wrong way.

Whether he can talk or not, it's wrong for human beings and animals to be romantically (especially sexually) involved. It's one thing to be friends, and I can definately see them as friends, Artemis cares about her, and she cares about him. It's normal for friends to care about one another, but a human and an animal can't be lovers.

Eh?! How so? -_-; Did I miss something? Don't worry about it. In fact that's kinda cute that you don't understand. So love can only be based on the physicality of the two beings in question and not on any other metheod of rapport? What's next only beatiful people can be loved? Or only certain skin colors?

Urgh, I didn't say that (geez, where do people come up with these assumptions?). I just meant that animals and humans being in romantic relationships isn't right. It's possible for an animal and a human to be friends, yes, but lovers, that is not right.

Hmmz, I guess it all depends on where you draw the line between human and animal. Going back to our roots, humans are apes (or at least derived from them).
And I'm sure most of you have heard the story about the Minotaur in Ancient Greece.

Off topic for a second:What's creepy is that somebody did something similar in real life. One time I saw a video clip talking about this woman who married a dolphin (it was a news story I saw on AOL). It's scary to think that there are actually people like that.

Umm, Zyppora... I'm not sure the Minotaur is the best support for your case, considering that 1) the product of that relationship was a horrible man-eating monster, and 2) Poseidon enchanted the woman to fall in love with the bull in order to punish her husband, so it wasn't exactly a healthy relationship from any perspective.
I will agree that in the real world a relationship between a human and a cat is wrong. However, in the real world cats cannot talk and so could not possibly consent to a relationship. That's why bestiality is basically the same as rape. Artemis is different because he can communicate and bond with Minako. That said, a physical relationship between them could still be considered inappropriate, as Luna admits in her hopeless love with Kakeru. But I don't think they have to be sexually involved to be considered a couple.
Now we all know they won't end up together in the end, because Artemis has Luna and Venus has her duty to Serenity. But there was a time when Artemis was the man in Minako's life, and I think they deserve some acknowledgement. They are as much a couple as Ami and Taiki, or Minako and Yaten, or Usagi and Seiya for that matter.

I wouldn't say AS MUCH A COUPLE since Ami and Taiki and Minako and Yaten aren't canon couples.. but I know that's not what you meant XD you meant more as a potential couple
DUDE and Artemis is totally the shizz.

Yea, okay, the minotaur was maybe a bad example, but in essence it describes the process ^_^;; And doesn't Artemis change into a human in the manga? That would open up some options.

DUDE and Artemis is totally the shizz. I never said I didn't like Artemis. I love him. I think he's adorable (my favorite of the cat guardians!), but a cat being in a romantic relationship (especially a sexual relationship) with a human is really awkward and wrong.

Weeellll in most cultures that's generally considered taboo. It's also specifically forbidden in the Bible. However, you could argue that Artemis is not really a cat, he's a Mau-ian (or whatever they're called.) And he does have a human form. And once again, I don't think they would have a physical relationship. More of a fluffy puppy-love type thing. And in the end, of course they don't end up together, but they had something. Less than lovers, but more than friends.
Yeah, Yaten, I guess that did sound confusing when I said it ^.^; What I meant was: people ship Ami/Taiki or Minako/Yaten or Usagi/Seiya all the time, but those couples are no more official than Minako/Artemis. Heck, people ship Seiya/Haruka all the time, and they have far less potential as a couple than Minako and Artemis.
