That's just so sad. It can't be. I thought the senshi were indestructable!! Well, they are. But they aren't, also. Whenever a Senshi dies, they are reincarnated into another human. The Senshi spirit within the human is immortal, but the human itself isn't. Read the manga (referring to Sailor Pluto in the R and S mangas) and you'll see where I got it from.

Well, I'm not sure if this is true, but I know that the anime explains that the Senshi do not reincarnate on their own. Queen Serenity used the Ginzuishou to reincarnate the Senshi in the 20th century when the Silver Millennium was destroyed, and the Senshi came back to life each time they died because they were revived by the Ginzuishou, which was at that point used by Usagi.

SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ THE MANGA!
However, the ginzuishou wasn't used to revive Sailor Pluto. She was reincarnated on her own. She stopped time at the end of the R manga and died. In the middle of the S manga, though, she was reincarnated into Setsuna. The ginzuishou was not used. That's what I was referring to.
