I contest though that it is indeed not more llike the manga. Sailor Venus never got sick in the manga, there was no Sailor Luna, Mercury never turned Evil, none of the 4 that served under mamoru survived. There were no relationships developed between Makoto and Motoki or Mercury and Nephrite. More to the point the one of the four Naoko even toyed with being with Mercury was Zoicite. So PGSM is NOT closer to the manga.

When I first saw PGSM, I was dumbstruck by how much the concept reminded me of those early episodes of the Power Rangers I used to watch when I was little. Gah, I'm so phreakin addicted to PGSM now! I simply LOVED the fact that Mercury became evil at some point! *eyes go starry at the memory*

Ok I think that it's closer to the manga BUT (there is always a but) there are a lot of things that are new (those you mentioned) and I think that those things are what make PGSM interesting and makes you want to see the next episode even if you haven't seen completly the one you're watching.

Sept. 25th Personally I'm glad this fanfic-esque rendition is drawing to a close. . . Completely agree. I mean, the costumes were bad, Luna and Artemis were plush toys, Luna turned from a toy to a girl to a sailor senshi and they killed off Sailor Venus! How far can you get from the anime and manga?

How far can you get from the anime and manga? Well just like i said before, those new things are what make PGSM interesting because it's a new story and not a remake of the existent. When I heard of PGSM I thought like you (mainly the fact that luna was a plush toy and other things) but when I saw the first 5 acts I got hypnotized or something... (Hey and the costumes are not that bad, just look at SeeraaMyu (musicals) costumes and then we talk)

Ok I'm going to make this clearly so you can understand... First - I said it was CLOSER to the manga because the story it's based on the manga I DIDN'T said that it WAS the manga Second - It's a new story but there are things that are the same as the manga such things like mamoru knew she was sailor moon (in a different way of course), the personalities are ALMOST like the manga (ok sailor venus is an exception)... well whatever the point is to make you see that the meaning ITS CLOSER TO... doesn't mean ITS THE...

I don't think you understand it is not CLOSER to the manga it is FURTHER from the manga. It is LESS like the manga than the anime is. This really isn'rt a hard concept. different stories from the manga means that it is LESS like the manga. The anime has similar stories to the Manga so IT is MORE like tha manga. No fan senshi, no killing off senshi the fanfic writer didn't like, no developing relationships between characters the fanfic writer would like. It is so far from Naoko's original design its not even funny. Naoko never had Mercury paired up with nephrite. She toyed with her and Zoicite being together. And don't give me that "it's the little differences that make it interesting" cause it's the klittle differences that make it deviate from the manga. You CAN'T have your cake and eat it too. If you like PGSM that's fine, I have nothing against fanfiction. but do NOT claim that it is closer to something when its NOT.

Well after this explanation of yours I agree that it's not closer to the manga. Maybe the thing I call closer to the manga are things that happen in the manga too but thats maybe coincidence... well I get it thanks And don't get mad at me by that after all people have different opinions
