Their love for each other is absolutely beautiful! I think their relationship is one of the best I have seen in an anime!

i think that if amara was a guy, it might be even better, but that's my opinon, it be even better if they got married.

If Haruka was a guy however. . . I'm not sure if Michiru would have been attracted to Haruka in the same manner. . .

I looooove Haruka and Michiru's relationship. It is truly the strongest relationship in the entire series.
If Haruka was a guy?? I really don't like that idea.

Then, who would be Sailor Uranus? There are guy Sailor Senshi too aren't there? Some of the Sailor Phages from Sailor Stars were men senshi... anyway... It's good to see this topic has some new posts again!

No. Only females can be Sailor Senshi. Mamoru for example is a senshi but not a Sailor Senshi the phages don't count as they aren't sailor senshi.

If we look at the Sailor V special of PGSM, we notice that the term 'sailor senshi' is quite vague. In this special we see Usagi and a few of her friends make their own Sailor V costumes and fight evil (which would be represented by a hot guy with a red rose ... coincidence?). Of course, this is more cosplay than actual heroism, but they are sailors and they pretend to be senshi. A senshi in the disctinct meaning of the word is a 'soldier', or 'warrior'. In general, school girls don't go into that category. When Usagi first changes into Sailor Moon, we see her running for dear life, rather than facing the evil she's supposed to fight. The first thing you should ask, is whether or not said behaviour befits a senshi. The sailor theme is of course derived from the fact that in Japan, school girls wear sailor outfits. In order to make the series appeal to the intended group of readers (teen school boys and girls, no older than the Sailor Senshi themselves), the sailor theme was mixed in. After all, would there be an alternative that would even make them half as popular as they were in Japan when they first came out? However, given the distinct meaning of the word 'sailor', just because the school girls wear sailor outfits, doesn't mean they can sail... So a good conclusion would be that the term 'sailor senshi' means a warrior that can sail. These school girls, they don't fit that description whatsoever. But we call them Sailor Senshi nonetheless. That's the term used to refer to the school girls that fight evil in sailor fukus. This would raise the question of the phages being Sailor Senshi, in the meaning of the words, rather than the meaning of the term. The two questions to verify this are: - Are they sailors? - Are they senshi?

Though dicussion of this topic should be in a different section altogether. Little boys wear sailor uniforms when they are in school so technically they could be called Sailors by your definition if they wore some sort of variation on thier school costume and they could technically senshi as well. So by the definition you are proposing Li from Cardcaptor Sakura could be a sailor senshi when he's fighting in his school uniform as he does sometimes.

Considering the exact meaning of the words (and not the meaning of the term so bluntly used to refer to those babes from Sailor Moon) and your description, yes, Li from CCS could very well be a sailor senshi.

Sweet, I want Li to be Sailor Chibi Mask because I think it's ironic. Or better yet Sailor Chibi Chinese.
